Décor & Flowers

Bride’s Dressing Room Sign

We love this idea from Tara and John’s real wedding by Insight Photography. A ‘Bride’s Dressing Room’ sign hanging on the door would be a lovely way to surprise the bride on the wedding morning as she goes in to take a peek at her dress! You can pick up this pretty door sign on Notonthehighstreet.

Love Heart Fingerprint

The cutest details are the personal ones which is why we love this sweet idea where couples use their fingerprints to create a little heart! It can be incorporated in to everything from wedding stationery and menus to guestbooks and thank you cards – and you don’t have to use the same colour prints, you can pick out two colours that best represent you and your OH, or your wedding colour scheme.

Memory Hearts

We published this pretty pink wedding on the blog this week and we fell in love with this heartfelt idea. Sharon and Donal brought in little trees to their wedding ceremony where they hung small hearts with the names of their loved ones that were no longer with them. Such a beautiful way to honour those that are no longer with us.

Reception Chairs

There are so many cute ways to decorate your reception wedding chairs but we love signs, especially when they’re fun ones like these. Another sweet way to decorate the back of your chair is by hanging childhood snaps of you and the hubby or wife – the funnier the better!

If you’re looking for a fun and thoughtful gift idea for the OH or wine-loving friend, this is the one. Celebrate all your marriage milestones with this sweet wine idea where there’s a bottle of vino to toast all the big events in this first year of married life, everything from a bottle of something lovely for the wedding night to one for your first Christmas, anniversary – even your first fight (a great way to make up)! You can hang kraft paper tags from bottles of wines yourself or if you fancy personalised labels, Etsy sell these ‘Marriage Milestones’ labels here.

Another cute way to get your guests involved and have a year ahead full of inspiring date ideas (that you may not have thought of or done before), get your guests to scribble a date idea and pop it in the designated jar. Something Turquoise have a downloadable ‘Date Jar’ sign to make things even easier for you – just hang on to a jam jar and you’ll have an easy DIY!

Thank You Sign

Tara & John had this lovely sign on their guests reception tables and we think it is a gorgeous way to thank those closest to you for sharing your day. We also love this oversized chalk version which you can prop at the front of the venue as a bit of  a welcome for your guests.

Time Capsules

There are lots of lovely ways to mark your wedding anniversary down the line – but we love the idea of getting guests in on the action. Create a time capsule where they can scribble a message to your married selves five years down the line or another cute idea is to have wine bottles as your table numbers with each bottle represent an anniversary year – cover the bottles with blank labels so that guests can write a little message to you. This way you can reminisce as you savour a glass of wine on each of your anniversaries.

You don’t have to leave it to your guests either! You and your partner can personalise your wedding with a love letter ceremony idea. You each write a note about how you feel on this momentous occasion and pop it in this personalised box with a bottle of your favourite vino so you can crack it open on an anniversary and relive how you felt on this special day. It will be something lovely to look forward to and will serve as a keepsake too. This Love Letter Ceremony Set is available from the weddingsonline shop here.
