The wedding showcase included menu tasting and a cookery demonstration with Head Chef, David Rice in the onsite Kinsale Gourmet Academy. David cooked for the Queen when she visited Ireland and has worked in Michelin Star restaurants most of his career. But the “unbelievable food” and custom-made menu option is just one of the attractions that draw couples to this bespoke wedding venue. Recently I attended a wedding in New York and I was fascinated by the costs charged – you could fly all the guests to Ireland, pay for flights and accommodation for the same as the food and supplier costs. The quality here is more than comparable to international standards but not the cost.”
