We chose our videographer because… Ronan (Quinn Video) was recommended to me by my bridesmaid who had seen him work at other weddings. I also follow Ronan on Facebook and have seen his work first hand so was very confident he would do a great job and have fun while doing it too!
We decided to do a pre-wedding engagement video because… we wanted memories of all parts of our wedding story which started with Ger’s proposal and how we met all those years ago. This was the perfect way to tell it and tie in our own story that brought us to our wedding day. We also got to feature our beloved dog Buddy in the video who we knew couldn’t be at the wedding but is such a huge part of us as a couple. We didn’t know what to expect at first but Ronan did an amazing job and captured the moments so nicely. We decided to play the video before the dinner at our wedding reception for all our guests to see. Some people in the room wouldn’t have known some of the details about our relationship so it added a real personal touch and caused a good few tears too!
What piece of advice do you have for other couples thinking about doing an engagement video… If you want to add something different and extra special to your wedding day, this is the perfect way to do it. What’s even better is it will last beyond that one day unlike other items you might consider. In years to come you can look back not just at your wedding day but at the moments that brought you there in the first place – a great way to capture the little details of your relationship.
