Civil Ceremonies in Dublin/Wicklow

Postby ciaranim » Thu Apr 29, 2010 6:09 pm

Hi guys,

I'm planning on getting married next year and going the civil ceremony route. Thing is, we don't want to have it in a registry office or in the hotel that we're having the reception in.

Does anyone know of anywhere nice in Dublin/Wicklow area that holds civil ceremonies?

All ideas welcome! Cheers.

Hi Ciaranim,

Just saw your post there and wanted to let you know that Dublin Zoo are now doing Civil Ceremonies. We have a beautiful venue at the centre of the zoo called Haughton House which can cater for up to 90 people. This newly restored building has stunning views of the zoo from it verandahs.

Please see the below links:

Hi guys,

Thanks a mill for the suggestions - really appreciate it.
Thing is, we're hoping for 120 to attend the ceremony - we're not asking for much really are we!
Do you reckon either of the above venues could squeeze to 120?

Cheers,

Ciara

Hi Ciara,

We unfortunately cant cater for that number. Off the top of my head I cant think of a venue that could outside of your typical hotel.

One thing to think about is will you definately have 120 people attending? As usually your numbers will fall off for different reasons, so you may end up with some where around 100 people.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do, you are still more than welcome to visit Dublin Zoo to see our venue.

Take care

We're getting married in City Hall in October. It's in the gorgeous rotunda room, just up a few steps on Dame St. Your numbers would easily fit. You should check it out.
