My dad still tells the story of when he was Garda up in Dublin. He was meant to meet a girl under Clearys clock but was abit 'under the weather' and he never quite made it. He says she's probably still waiting for him to this day.

It was a meeting point for my sister and I when we would meet for lunch, shopping etc. I would be sad if I heard it was closing down.

I've only met friends outside Clearys. It was Eason's clock for me meeting my sweetheart. :lvs

This was always the meet up point whenever I was meeting anyone in town. In fact the first unofficial date with OH we met under the clock. Way back in college we were headed into town for a college night out and agreed we would meet and head in together. 8 years later and we are planning our wedding next Sept. So Clerys clock will always make me remember the nerves and anticipation of that night :lvs
