How much does pre-marriage course cost?

Postby dublindoll » Fri Jul 27, 2007 12:48 pm

The Great Escape
Hi,

We're doing the pre-marriage course abroad with an Irish priest (3x2 hour sessions) and have absolutely no idea how much money we should give the priest for it. How much does the course cost in Ireland on average? Has anyone else done this Germany?

Thanks

dd

Thanks.

I reckon we can pay something similar here - we haven't been given a fixed price but seeing as the priest is Irish I'd say it would be ok to give him the standard Irish price........well, I hope so anyway!

Private courses seem to cost a little more then group courses between €180 and €220. Hopefully yours will be cheaper :wv

We did the course with MRCS and it cost €220. It was 3 hours in our own home. To be honest I was dreading it but it turned out to be brilliant! Would definitely recommend it! O:o)

Pre-Marriage Course costs

Postby EmmaD » Wed Aug 01, 2007 12:09 pm

Hi dd,

We did our pre-marriage with MRCS and the course cost 220 euro. It was well worth it though as it was just ourselves and the counsellor and took only three hours. It turned out to be great fun and I would recommend it to anyone. If your course is anythng like ours then it's well worth paying 200 euro or so for it.
