Mo ghra thu - music?

Postby septwedding » Wed Jul 20, 2005 1:50 pm

Hi,

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, the music for Mo Ghra Thu - it's an Irish psalm and I think Liam Lawton wrote it. I've checked his site and veritas but I'm not having any luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
SW

Have you tried Liam Lawton's message board? If not here's the link

someone has the words up there for the psalm so they might be able to help you out with the sheet music. I have a couple of his books and I've checked them but that psalm isn't in any of them. Hope they might be able to help you out on there.

I'm actually singing it at a wedding on Friday!! You'll find it under its English Title Hiding Place in Liam Lawton's book A Day To Remember! Here's a link to the lyrics. http://www.geocities.com/celticlyricsco ... moghra.htm

Thanks Siobhán. I have the music for hiding place... not sure of how the irish lyrics fit with the melody, have you any idea where I'd get a copy of the music with irish lyrics on it.... or it CD? Thanks again!!

hi again. I have an mp3 of it in Irish if you want to PM me your e mail address and I'll send it onto you. I was looking for sheet music with it in Irish as well but so far I haven't found it but the mp3 should be adequate - that's all I've used and it's fine - the music is exactly the same as hiding place so it's just a matter of fitting the Irish lyrics in.
