Shocking child porn...

Postby Sparkly Pooh Bear » Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:22 pm

http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/sentencing-postponed-for-mayo-man-caught-with-massive-collection-of-child-pornography-571946.html

This story is just shocking, I just can't comprehend the amount of images/footage this "man" had. I can't stop thinking about the poor children, where are they :o( its just sick.

I hope to god he gets a lengthy prison sentence and not a slap on the wrists. See here ..... http://www.irishexaminer.com/world/sentences-contrast-in-ireland-and-us-208612.html

Am i just being naive in wondering how child pornography is so accessible to even the computer illiterate.... beggars belief

FFS thas disgusting, a community service or a fine for having child porn on your pc or in your home, its fu*king disgusting.

Each and every single minumim/maximum sentance should be revaluated in this country especialy.

For me i can't fathom why there is not mandatory sentencing, it works very well (in my opinion) with drink driving cases basically the judge has no discretion to lessen sentence its black and white what sentences can be imposed.

Also just rereading the breaking news link i posted it doesn't mention the fact that there were infants and very young children involved, I really really am so upset by this story :o(

Before the internet, I wonder what people with that type of 'problem' did?

before the internet these f@cking creaps used to hide pictures of kids at various locations through out the UK and probably this country as well, in public places such as phone boxes etc. saw that on a crime documentary about a network of child serial killers in the UK (Sidney Cooke) in the 70's. They had their own little network going on back then too. Obviously the problem is increasing, the internet (in my opinion) is almost normalising this kind of thing, its just way too convenient.

There should be mandatory minimum sentencing for this crime that judges cannot deviate from. Overhaul the justice system. Badly needed.

It's more of an illness than anything.

I sure as hell would dread the prospect of being a parent to a child that's been abused.

Likewise, being a parent of a paedophile cant be a walk in the park either.

It should be brought out in the open more, and those with urges to hurt children to come forward. More research should be done to help them.

Thats where society benefits.
