I'm back also! - Wedding Report (long, sorry) & some pic
Girls, I can’t believe its over!!
It really was a fantastic day and I just didn’t want it to end. Myself and hubby parted company on the Friday (day before) at 4pm after we had finished doing all the last minute bits and pieces. It was a really strange feeling knowing that the next time we saw eachother would be at the alter. I stayed in my Mams with one of my bridesmaids and one of the flower girls. Hubby stayed in his Mams. Had a great night in Mams, loads of visitors and plenty of laughs. We went to bed at 1.30am. I slept like a baby and woke up to my alarm at 7am, myself and the girls went into the hairdressers for 8am. Mam bought in breakfast for us but I couldn’t eat, I wasn’t feeling particularly nervous but just not very hungry. While everybody was eating there was a knock on Mams front door, I went to answer it and all I could see were a huge bouquet of flowers with a lovely sweet note in them from my hubby at the end of the note it said “see you in a couple of hours”. ahhh... my heart melted. Our make-up artist arrived then and got started with the make-up while we drank champagne. The morning flew and before I knew it with visitors coming in at out it was time to leave. My Mam and the girls left first then myself and Dad. Walking up the aisle was my worst fear but it was fine, I don’t know what I was worrying about, once I saw hubby standing at the top of the aisle I couldn't wait to get up to him. We had a great day weather wise (apart from one small shower). The ceremony was lovely and the Priest was great, he’s a bit of a comedian so he had everybody in stitches with some of his funny comments. The hotel was lovely, decoration was fab, food was gorgeous and they came back around to everybody for second helpings. Everybody was commenting on how nice the food was. Drink was flowing.. speeches were short and sweet, when the band started and the party well and truly begun. The band (The bottle brothers) were absolutely fantastic and had everybody on the floor for the night, they were also comedians and did many funny things along with putting wigs on etc. I would highly recommend them to anybody. They even sang ‘The wheels on the bus go round and round’ for the kids which was great. We all went down to the residents bar afterwards, I remember saying to somebody that I just didn’t want the night to end. After much singing hubby fell asleep at 4.30 in the bar so it was well and truly time for bed. For any of you girls with the Wedding approaching, just enjoy every minute because it’s a really fantastic day, I’m just a bit sad now that its all over. Honeymoon was great also, Antigua for 1 week and New York for 5 days, Antigua was quiet but great for relaxing, we loved New York. Here are my recommendations: Flowers - Sharon Moules, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow. Sharon did an excellent job, our bouquets and the Church flowers were beautiful. Hair - The Hair Depot, Arklow. Hairdo’s were exactly what we wanted. Make-up - Sheila Doran, Tranquility, Rathdrum/Avoca Co Wicklow. She did a fantastic job with myself and the girls, everybody was commenting on how well our make-up looked. Church Singer - Avril O’Toole, Avoca. Avril has an excellent voice, she did a great job. Band - The Bottle Brothers, Waterford. EXCELLENT! As I have said in my Report, I would highly recommend them to anybody, they really had the place rocking for the night. The even did the disco afterwards. Hotel - The Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford: I would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody, service, food, the reception room itself were all top class! Photographer - Adrian O’Brien, Arklow. Adrian was great, we received our proofs last night and are very pleased with them. I have a few piccies for you to see, these are just ones taken by a friend, haven’t got my proofs loaded yet. www.kodakgallery.com email: san_eugene@eircom.net password: wedding
