Spring Break 80s Band

Postby pippins » Wed Aug 27, 2008 9:35 pm

Was thinking of booking Spring Break for our wedding reception, other half would love to get something a bit different and he loves 80's music. I understand that they play at gigs around Dublin, but I'd particularly like to know if anybody has heard of them and what they are like for weddings......... do they get the crowd up dancing/floor full all night etc????? They are VERY expensive so I'd like to know if we are getting our monies worth!!!! Could really do with some advice on this one............

Thanks a million. :eek

Ive only worked alongside them twice and they had the floor full on both occasions, they do the power ballad / pop rock thing and they do it very well. I love the costumes and guitarist they have (very 80's rock band look)

I think they do Boys of Summer, We built this city and Journey very well.

They are an 80's band, and would be well suited to an 80's crowd but the weddings they did a couple of weeks ago was very mixed and the dancefloor as I said was packed the most part.

Springbreak are absolutely fantastic - you would have an unforgettable wedding. They are both excellent but also hilarious - perfect for 80's cheese. I've seen them a couple of times where they've played gigs and they regulary pack of tripod and the button factory. I've heard of a wedding where they got all the guests to change into 80's gear for when they came on.
Worth every penny! I'd get them if I could afford them. I've heard they're booked solidly for the next 18 months though.

Hey - we booked Springbreak for our wedding after seeing them at a friends wedding earlier in the year, I had never seen the entire dancefloor comepltely full for the whole time the band were playing, they are absolutely fantastic! There was a big mix of people at this wedding too and it made no difference everyone was up. I would have no problem in recommending them after being at wedding where they played! Cant wait for ours!!!

Hi Pippins,

Worked with them in Barberstown Castle this week and they have added a female singer since I saw them last (Now covering Madonna, Tiffany etc)

Totally live and very nice group to deal with.

And to give praise where due.

They did not get started til 10pm and they played a full 2 hr set with no break to ensure the client got their moneys worth.

The floor was full ALL evening

You won't be disappointed........

Regards,
Paul White
