Well girls I'm back from honeymoon and can't believe its all over now. It was such a brillient day.

The night before myself and my 2 bridesmaids sat in with a few bottles of wine and had a lady come over to get our nails done. We had great fun and really helped with taking my mind off the oul nerves.

The big day arrived. Myself and the 2 bms got a mini bus with all the dresses, accesseries, flowers, bags...etc..over to my parents house at 7.30am. Which turned out to be a great laugh. The taxi driver does the traffic report for Kildare in the mornings for KFM and he put me on the radio, I was mortified. The taxi man told him I was up the walls and to wish me good luck. I got on the phone and he wished me a great day and asked me who the lucky man was. I gave him my Hubbys name and told him we were together 7 years. It was so funny. My 2 bms were in fits laughing in the back of the taxi.
5 minutes later a request came in from my hubbys work crowd who had heard me on the radio and wished us all the best.

We arrived at my parents house. My mam had a cooked breakfast ready for us on arrival. It was a great atmosphere. Susan Peggs the hair dresser arrived first, then soon after Marie Joseph the make up artist.
Susan set up in the sitting room, and Marie in the dining room which are adjoined so we were all having good banter between us.

Suddenly it was time to go, the cars arrived outside. My dad was very good at calming me down on the way to the church as its an hour drive. Everyone was beeping the car which was great fun.

I arrived outside the church and saw everyone scattered inside. Before I knew it I was floating up the aisle to "All I want is You" (U2) sang by the gospel choir. It was magical. I saw my Hubby to be looking at me with a tear in his eye and I had to hold back from bursting into tears.
H2B noticed I was a little nervous at the top of the alter, so he whispered over to me in the middle of the ceremony .... "Psst.... whats our wedding car like?" which got me laughing and the nerves dissappeared. It was time to say our vows and it was so special, everyone clapped and cheered, it was brillient. The ceremony was amazing, the gospel choir sang beautifully, I couldn't have wished for more.

Then onto Rathsallagh, which was about a 45 minute drive. We drank our bottle of bubbly and we were so excited about the day ahead.
Catherine welcomed us in Rathsallagh, she was brillient and looked after us all so well. We had champagne and canapes in the garden. I had booked strolling players for the drinks reception, but turned out they were in a car crash, no one was hurt, but they couldn't make it for a few hours but were able to play while we were having our meal at 6pm!!!!
They arrived in the end and they did a great job at the meal. The food was amazing. Hubby to be was a bit nervous of what his best man was about to say at the speech.
He had nothing to worry about, all the speeches were brillient. The best mans was very funny, but not too embarrassing for Hubby.
Hubby said a lovely speech about me which I'm constantly getting him to repeat to hear it all again.
The night flew by, we danced our first dance to Sade's by your side, which was very special. Then the band, Who's Eddie took over until 1am. Our DJ came on from 1-2am in the main room, while a trad band was playing in the bar.
We all got to bed at 5am. I stood under the archway with Hubby and had a good look around at the scenery and took the last few minutes of our wedding day all in.
We woke up at 10.30am for breakfast. Our guests stayed with us until 2pm. We walked around looking at the chickens and the horses. It was really lovely as I'm a mad animal lover.
Everyone had gone and it was just the two of us. We sat outside in the gardens reminising about the whole day. We had dinner that night in the restaurant as we were staying an extra night. It was really romantic.

Here are some pics from the day.

Congrats on what sounds like a fantastic day. What a beautiful report, and I really enjoyed your photos - you look amazing! I asked you a few months ago for a picture of your hair trial - your hair looks even better than it did in the trial! And I adore your headpiece, where did you get it?
As for your dress... you look absolutely stunning in it, I've always loved that dress, it just didn't love me :) (don't quite have your figure).

Sounds like you've lots of lovely memories to cherish from your day. You both look very happy and hopefully it's not too hard getting back to work after all the excitement (I am so not looking forward to that part!)

Congrats again!
