We got married on 3rd July 2009 in Rathsallagh and it was simply perfect. From the minute we arrived in Rathsallagh to the minute we left the next day Rathsallagh and Jennifer (wedding coordinator) were simple fantastic. Everything seemed to get done without the slightest effort, they were always in the background just in case anything was required without you noticing them being there. We were of course very lucky with the weather - the sun shone all day, so our guests were able to enjoy the delights of Rathsallagh in the sun by having drinks and canapes served up to them in the walled garden till dinner was called at 6pm.
We took our photos out front of Rathsallagh to get some of pictures of us with the stunning Rathsallagh in the background and then afterwards the rest of the photos were taken right beside our guests in the walled garden so everyone could see us and talk to us in between shots.
Rathsallagh kept the drinks and canapes coming all afternoon. From the buzz of the crowd, everyone seemed to be having a great time.
Dinner was simply delicious - those who had the beef said it was mouth watering, cooked to each persons request. Some of the boys had seconds as it was so good. Our compliments to the chef!
The timing of the 5 courses was perfect - we were able to wander around the tables and talk to some of our guests. The dinning room set up was perfect - we had 87 people in various tables sizes around the room, which was an ideal number for the room on a hot sunny day, all the doors were open and no one felt uncomfortable with the heat. After the speeches some of the tables were cleared for the band who set up at one end of the dinning room. Trad lib then played in the bar and given we had never heard them or of anyone who had heard them we totally relied on Rathsallagh's advice and booked them and they were absolutely fantastic - everyone is still talking about them. They played till after we went to bed at 4am with a mix of music that you could jig to and songs you could sing along to. Thanks Rathsallagh for recomending them.
We can't thank Rathsallagh and the wedding coordinators (Jennifer, Gillian, Patricia and Catherine) enough for all their help in making our day so special. Anyone who is lucky enough to have their wedding in Rathsallagh is in for the perfect fairytale day beyond your dreams..........
