Your wedding day is not just a ‘special’ day; it is one of the most important days in your life. That is why we, at Cabra Castle, are delighted that you should consider the Castle as the venue for that important day.
From the moment you first arrive, you will be treated like royalty! A family owned-and-run property, we host only one wedding per day, ensuring that you receive the personal attention that you require, and deserve, on such a memorable day.
The atmosphere is set on your arrival at the castle by the haunting melody of traditional bagpipes and a warm and personal welcome. On arrival, your guests are invited to relax in one of the castle's beautifully appointed reception rooms whilst enjoying a complimentary tea/coffee reception. You may also choose to treat your guests to one of our many drinks packages. In fine weather they may wish to adjourn to the verandas, and enjoy the magnificent parkland setting.
Situated on over 100 acres of beautiful gardens and forestry, with breathtaking views of the three counties of Meath, Monaghan and Cavan, the Castle grounds provide the perfect, picturesque backdrop in which to capture the most romantic moments of your wedding day.
Should the weather prove unfavourable, the Castle’s interior offers old world elegance and charm and an ideal atmosphere for more fairytale moments. Hand-painted ceilings, exquisite antiques, Gothic-style leaded windows and the grand staircase, all contribute to a unique setting and the ultimate romantic backdrop for your wedding photos.
Cabra Castle caters for up to 350 guests. Waterford Crystal chandeliers, five-tiered golden candelabras , rich table linens and cut glass , all grace our Ballroom and continue a theme of elegance and romanticism on your wedding day.
With have a long-established reputation for fine food and wines, we offer a host of different menus from which to choose. Using only the finest of locally-produced ingredients, we guarantee a superb dining experience for you and your guests.
We are also delighted to introduce our newly-opened bridal suite, which is fast laying claim to the title of ‘Most romantic Bridal suite in Ireland’! With its separate Courtyard entrance, overhead beams, private bar and Jacuzzi, it offers 900 sq feet of romantic seclusion - the perfect retreat for the happy couple at the end of a magical wedding day!

We were married here in September and it was the most memorable day thanks to all the staff; Denise, Karen, Paul, Patrick and especially Rose and Paul who took care of us on the day itself. In the 18 months we had met so many of the team, including Oscar the resident Irish Wolfhound, and I would not hesitate to recommend Cabra Castle to anyone looking for their dream location. The food was amazing, the ballroom was fairytale and we are still getting so many compliments from friends and family on the amazing hospitality. We were married on Easter Sunday and had our reception here in Cabra.Laura ,Brenda,Paul was so helpful and our day ran like clockwork. It was perfect. The food , service was class and we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The honeymoon suite was fantastic and even had a hot tub out on the roof!!Wonderful place.

What can I say about this place, it exceeded every expectation that we had. From the first meeting with Therese we knew this was the place. The grounds, function room and bridal suite is just breathtaking, Oscar the Irish Wolfhound was always available for photo's. The food was perfect both for our weeding breakfast and in the resteraunt. The Staff were friendly and helpful at all stages, the bedrooms were immaculate, they made the planning and preperation of our special day so easy, that on the day we only had to enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting that special day. Very reasonably for one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Ireland. Book this place and you are guaranteed a great day.

We were married here in August and I dont think we could EVER speak highly enough of Cabra Castle and its staff. Me, my new husband and all our guests spend a full 3 days at Cabra and not ONE of us had a complaint. Nothing! The service, the food, the organisation, the smiles - EVERYTHING was exceptional. Two of our friends booked their wedding there the day after ours they were so impressed! A very special mention to Paul, Brenda and Jo who we had most contact with and really did everything possible to give us the best weekend ever. And you barely even noticed they were doing it!! Two weeks before our day, in a meeting with Paul I asked for something and was told "Nothing's too much trouble here at Cabra" Not only was that a great relief at teh time, but was also never a truer word spoken...

A big thank you to Rose, Laura, Brenda and all the staff at Cabra Castle who made our wedding day so special. The service and food was as always exceptional. We knew when booking our wedding we would have no worries but these guys really went above and beyond for us and our wedding guests. The new bridal suite is amazing and the hot tub was a real treat the next morning even if it was raining!
