So you’re looking for something a little different and special? Sol y Sombra has the benefit of being one of the more unusual venues in Ireland.
Setting & Ceremony
Based in a beautifully converted church only twenty minutes from Killarney it’s no wonder people choose us as a unique location to host their intimate wedding!
The authentic décor and setting, romantic stained glass windows and natural acoustics of the old church add a unique flavour to your special day. We are not associated with any religion thus are ideal for your civil ceremony.
Drinks Reception
After the marriage ceremony of your choice you can retire to our sister restaurant Nicks to host your drinks reception. We offer a number of packages from a mulled wine and sangria reception to a Champagne and Bellini cocktail reception. Canapés can be an optional extra. A complementary pianist will play as part of some of our package offers. While you and your guests are entertained we will prepare the banqueting area.
Dinner Banquet
We offer a range of menu options from the traditional Irish wedding menu to a tapas tasting menu perfect for those looking for something different. We can also assure you of friendly and professional service in an atmospheric location.
Accommodation and Pictures
We will assist you with booking accommodation providers within easy walking and driving distance of the venue for your bridal party and family. We can also provide a list of suitable accommodation for your friends and extended guests. There are many fantastic photographers in the area and there are no shortages of beautiful locations nearby to use as a setting to capture your important wedding pictures.
We are currently offering promotional all inclusive packages starting at just €55 per person for our exclusive wedding experience. We can also tailor a unique package to your requirements.
Our in-house wedding coordinator Cliodhna is on-hand to talk you through wedding themes, menu options, decorations, coordinate with other wedding suppliers and to arrange a food and wine tasting before the big day.
