Chris Walshe is one of Ireland's leading entertainers, and has been performing as an MC & DJ at weddings & corporate events for over 15 years.
The main package that Chris offers is a high energy MC & music show which starts as soon as guests enter the room for dinner. This interactive experience is designed to keep atmosphere in the room at all times and have your guests singing & dancing right up until the end of the meal. Chris also offers DJ packages for after the meal - which can start after your band, or straight after dinner as a full night DJ option if you choose not to have a band.
The MC show includes everything below and is the perfect way to eliminate the typical lull that happens during the meal.

If you are getting married or want to have the best party , Chris is your guy . From start to finish he had my guests going wild no matter what age , the older and younger were on tables and they were giving it their all. Only thing we will say is we are absolutely raging we found him so late because we would have loved to have had him for the whole night. The guests were raven on about him into the next day. 10/10 if you want a party and want to hype your guests we highly recommend Chris he will bring the fun, he will set the vibe and your wedding or party will be talked about for a very long time. Very impressed and delighted to have had him play a part in our day. Thank you so much Chris ❤️

Planning a wedding as we know can be stressful and my for me entertainment for my friends and family was a big thing. I came across Chris actually through Instagram and thought his entertainment would very much suit the wedding. I can honestly say he far exceeded my expectations the room was alive with laughter fun and a good sing along. There was people at the wedding as old as 90 standing on a chair dancing and singing that's how good it was. I can't thank Chris enough for making my dream day come to life.

We had Chris for our wedding on 31.07.2026. Genuinely can’t say enough good things about Chris. Our guests are still raving about the show and that they have never had as much craic during a meal 🤣 Chris is such a lovely person to deal with as well and is very easy going which is exactly what you want when planning a wedding.

Chris and co, absolutely exceeded our expectations. His set up was immaculate and his vibes were u matched. He had the room alive, singing, doing games, dancing and generally kept the room awake for the entire duration. I was apprehensive about how it would all work however it was hands down the best decision we had made. People are still talking about it!! If you are looking for entertainment during your meal do it! Book Chris! Bonus points - he included our 5 little mini guests who enjoyed their little dance off and prizes. Thanks so much Chris 🤗

From start to finish, Chris’s level of professionalism was just amazing.
From the very first time speaking to Chris I knew he wouldn’t let us down.
He was such a highlight to our big day and we can’t thank him enough.
We were worried would the craic he brings be a bit overwhelming for some, but not one person complained, in fact it was quite the opposite, Every guest came out of their shell and enjoyed every minute.
There was certainly no lull at any stage and that’s exactly what we wanted,
A massive thank you to you Chris, you really made our day special.

We honestly can't recommend Chris highly enough. From the moment he started, he created such an amazing atmosphere and completely made the day for us and our guests.
So many of our guests have told us that he was one of the highlights of the wedding. The energy was so high from start to finish. We've had countless people asking for his details for their own weddings, which says it all.

I booked Chris for my wedding entertainment, first thing after seeing him perform at my cousins wedding.
He was absolutely incredible and i couldnt recommend him more. Everyone is still raving about it and it was definately the most talked about part of our day.

What a show!!🎊 Chris was an amazing addition to our wedding! Atmosphere was electric. Everyone enjoyed it and got involved, even some guests we thought would sit back and watch, were up on their seats having the craic! Best decision we made having Chris.

My husband and I got married in Kilkee last June (2026) and had Chris Walshe as the DJ during dinner and afterwards for the reception. He made the dinner speeches a breeze and everything flowed very well. He is also very reasonable and friendly. He was prompt and set up early. We (and our guests) loved the reception! Everyone had an amazing time and he did a lovely job with the music and particularly the lighting that made it feel like a real dance party towards the end of the night. Everyone wanted him to keep playing music all night long!!

Having Chris as our MC for our wedding was the best decision we made. He was brilliant. All our guests loved him. The meal quiz was a big hit and got everyone partying and then he finished up the night DJing. Could not recommend more.

What can we say only absolutely amazing!! Chris had all our guests up on their feet from the very beginning of the meal. We could feel the energy through the doors. The place was hopping and everyone was buzzing! Honestly could not recommend Chris enough!! Electric atmosphere.. unreal craic!! 10/10 👏🏽

Chris did a full evening entertainment at our wedding in January 2026. He was amazing from start to finish kept everyone so upbeat and entertained from the minute we entered the reception room. After our wedding it was the one thing that people kept commenting on and asking about was Chris they said it was the best entertainment they had seen during a wedding. Made the whole evening so much fun and no lulls during the meal. Could not recommend enough so glad we had Chris part of our day he made it.

Chris Walshe from Hippo Events Wedding Entertainment did a fantastic job at our wedding. Chris provided PA system for the service, for the musicians performing as part of the service, for the wedding band and for the disco at the end. This elevated the quality of sound during the ceremony while ensuring it could flow seamlessly.
I am Irish and my wife is Ukranian. We had a lot of Ukranain traditions as part of the ceremony and throughout the evening. Chris was great to announcce the background story to these traditions so the Irish in attendance knew what was happening.
