We had the most amazing wedding day in Kilronan Castle. Irene was our wedding coordinator and nothing was ever an issue. The planning was made so easy and the standard and quality of service you get in Kilronan is top class, we are yet to see better.
From start to finish our guests were so impressed with the drinks, food and service. Apart from it being a beautiful place the work that goes on behind the scenes in Kilronan thanks to their staff means any bride and groom would be 100% right to choose it as their venue.

The team in Kilronan are second to none and every single staff member went above and beyond for us and our guests. It surpassed all our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone getting married.

We got married at Kilronan Castle back in February. Prior to deciding we visited many venues and we both agreed Kilronan was the venue for us. From that very first visit we were treated like royalty. This continued of course right through to our Wedding. Kevin, Monica, Andrew and Mohammed as well as every other member of staff made our stay incredible and I have to be honest one of the nicest hotel stays, we've ever had.

I cant recommend the kilronan and their staff enough, service was unreal staff are so kind and really attentive. Irene went above and beyond to make our day so special and we can't thank her enough. From arrival to departure everything was perfection. Kilronan management should be so proud of all their staff.

Conor & I have been to many lovely hotels around the country but our favourite over the years has been Kilronan Castle. There is something special about the venue, we've come back many times and were simply delighted they had a date that suited to get married there last year.

Staff are so welcoming, so genuinely kind and professional & the castle itself is just majestic. It's beautiful all year around but my God, at Christmas time it is spectacular. For a winter wedding you save money on the reception d?cor, we didn't have to buy any flowers etc as the castle was all done up. Our guests likened the venue to Hogwarts! It is definitely magical.

Irene Gonzalez was our wedding coordinator and from the very start we thought she was the perfect one to work with.

For me, on the morning of our wedding, she was in some ways like a second mother, compassionate & comforting. She was a lady, the entire team are exceptional but Irene especially made the experience so easy for us, she was always a step ahead and gentle but effective in her approach. We planned our wedding in less than 6 months so to say it was made easy for us is saying something!

We had the most incredible time throughout the entire stay, and indeed the night before. We had lovely drinks & nibbles in the drawing room which has a bar, by the fire beside a massive Christmas tree. I think every single guest was blown away by the hotel, the aesthetics, the dungeon bar & walkway down to the reception, all the fabulous Christmas trees, the open fires, the lights, the staff, everyone said the food was sublime, everything was to the standard of perfection. The bridal suite is very beautiful, four poster bed in a spacious room overlooking the lake.

For what you get, the cost of a wedding here is very reasonable, could not fault the venue. Also very handy that it's less than a ten minute drive from the local church for anyone keen to have a religious ceremony outside their hometown.

We give it the full 5 stars and then some.

We got married in Kilronan Castle last month and cannot recommend it enough! From the minute we met Clare, we knew Kilronan was the venue for us! Clare and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special! The whole hotel staff were amazing, professional and so friendly! They made us feel so relax and we had the best day! I just wish we could do it all over again!

Kilronan Castle is an excellent venue and we are so happy we chose here as our wedding venue. All of the staff were so friendly and well trained and this service really stood out to us and our guests. The staff really went above and beyond to make our day extra special with their help the day before and morning of the wedding.

Our wedding coordinator Sylvia was also so helpful and approachable in the buildup. The food was great at the dinner service and at the reception - so many guests commented on how nice the ham station was.

We would highly recommend Kilronan Castle as a wedding venue to any future couples. It is the most beautiful setting and the hotel service and hospitality matches this.

Kilronan Castle is a fantastic venue for your wedding. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we were so well looked after by everyone but especially our wedding co-ordinator Claire.

The entire team in Kilronan went above and beyond not only for us as a couple but for all our guests. Everything was top notch.

Irene and the staff at Kilronan worked at such a high standard to cater for all our needs to make our big day so special. They are so attentive to all the small details and went above and beyond to help us and our guests feel welcomed. I would 100% recommend Kilronan as a wedding venue- we had a blast!!

Kilronan Castle is an absolutely stunning venue and we couldn't have been happier with the service and professionalism we received from booking the venue until checkout. We had our wedding tasting menu a few months before the wedding and the food was just amazing. We met Sylvia, our wedding co-ordinator at the tasting and she ran through everything with us. We had a few last minute changes but it was no issue for the hotel at all. As we are not local and were getting married in the Church just 5 minutes away, we stayed the night before the wedding with our family and bridal party. I was given the bridal suite the night before the wedding and myself and all the bridesmaids got ready there on the morning of the wedding after having our breakfast in a private room which was a really nice touch.
The bridal suite was big enough to fit 8 of us in to get ready and the views out over the grounds and lake were just gorgeous. Sylvia was on hand throughout the day and was so helpful. It actually didn't matter that it was raining on the day as when we got back to the hotel after the Church, there were so many places inside the hotel to get photos taken. Our guests are still raving about the food and the venue and most of them had never been there before. There were so many little nice touches throughout the day that just made our day even more special. The service at the meal was second to none, especially the prosecco presentation. All the staff were wonderful, friendly and professional. We didn't have anything planned for the day after the wedding, it was just so nice to relax in the surroundings and avail of the leisure facilities. We were sorry to leave on the Monday, but we'll definitely be returning and hopefully we might be invited to a wedding there one day!

Our day exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Sylvia our wedding co-ordinator was a pleasure to work with in the lead up to the big day and left no page unturned. The day was magical from start to finish, from food to drinks, drinks reception to function room, to dancing into the early hours, which wouldn?t have been possible without the friendly attentive staff member that were present. All our guests have been saying what a brilliant day and night they had, which speaks volumes. We couldn?t recommend Kilronan Castle enough as a wedding venue for future couples!

We had the most magical wedding day at Kilronan Castle thanks to Sylvia and the team. From the initial meeting when we were shown around by Shane, to securing wedding date right up until the day after our actual wedding, nothing was too much trouble. We were organising our wedding from the UK so having such helpful advice and a trusted list of suppliers to work with made all the difference. Our 3 children were looked after so well too. Everyone commented on how fabulous the venue was and what a brilliant wedding it was. I would definitely recommend Kilronan Castle as a wedding venue to any couple thinking of getting married in Ireland. It is a beautiful venue in a stunning part of the country and the staff will make sure that your day is perfect.

We cannot thank Kilronan and Clare enough for enabling us to have such a dream wedding, our fairytale wedding. From the moment we got engaged we always knew that it was going to be Kilronan as nowhere compares. The place is magical! Clare was absolutely amazing throughout our wedding planning. Any request we had was executed to perfection. She has such a lovely laid-back nature and enjoyed the craic with us which we really appreciated. The Kilronan staff on the day blew us away and our guests are still talking about them. The professionalism was second to none. The food and service were exceptional. We always knew Kilronan was a first-class venue however it still managed to far exceed our expectations and for that we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so special.

Dear Kilronan Castle,
Thank you for hosting our wedding day, night and the following day for our post wedding family party. Overall we and our guests were very happy with the wedding and the preparations in the lead up to the wedding, however there are some items that I would like to cover off (all of which were discussed and dealt with by our wedding coordinator, Slyvia.
Firstly - we were assigned 3 x different wedding corrintors during the time from which we booked our wedding to the actual day - things change etc and we understand this but it did bring a level of duplication and repetition to the planning, a point to note, not a complaint as overall Slyvia got up to speed and looked after us.
We were disappointed that the entrance music got mixed up, we were really getting pumped for the reception right at that point and I was annoyed about it - this should have being practiced a few time by the team to ensure it was correct, also i would suggest that volume of the entry music could be increased to help create the party atmosphere, I felt for ours it was too low.

The menus laid out on all the tables had the wrong date printed on them (simple mistake but its the simple things that need to be overseen and double checked). When we pointed this out the floor manager he said he would lift them but 30mins later there was still some lying about on some tables.

The biggest issue we had was the professionalism of the floor manager - we were aiming for as early a start of the music as possible and while we were approx. 30mins behind by 6pm our music did not start until 10:30 - 60mins later that it should have. This delay was totally down to the floor manager and he way of working the floor staff, he was rude and arrogant to both myself and my bestman when we spoke to him about clearing the top table as quickly as possible to allow the band start. I was very frustrated by him and his communication skill were bad.
I felt this whole situation could have being easily avoible if we had to have a quick chat between Sylvia, myself and the floor manager she was handing the evening over too. the important points to us for our wedding should have being quickly discussed to ensure we were all on the same page.
for example there was no announcement of cake cutting!

I believe the points above are valid and need to be addressed for other weddings - however overall we did have a fantastic weekend, the following day Sylvia dealt with our feedback in a professional manner and we came to an agreement.
I would like to call out a special thanks to a number of people who we felt were excellent staff and really took extra efforts to look after us:

So ultimate it was an excellent wedding - we got lots of positive feedback for the food on both nights, the venue looked amazing as always - thank you Kilronan.

Venue was stunning, bar and catering staff were amazing.
However there were a few issues on the day and leading up to -
1. Mix up wedding entrance song and confirming day previous
2. Never brought bags up to the rooms and had to contact 3 times on morning after even though we brought them the night before
3. Wedding favours were not brought out - even after we gave them the day before also
4. Overcharged us for guests - charged 100e per plate for children's meal and thought we would not realise.
5. Left several people off the table plan including the grooms mother who was annoyed at this
6. I the bride was questioned on check out about another person's bill
7. Wedding cake could not be found on checkout

We highly recommend Kilronan Castle as a wedding venue. Our coordinator Monica was fantastic to deal with throughout, answering our questions and accommodating all the little and big requests we had for our day. The food and service were excellent across the weekend and many of our guests commented on how good they were. While all the staff we met were so lovely, we were particularly impressed with Kevin in the bar, Mairead in the ballroom, Ann in the restaurant and Cian the concierge.

Overall it was such a relaxed weekend which was exactly what we wanted. Our guests also loved the spa and the stunning grounds around the castle.

Both my husband and I had the most wonderful wedding day at Kilronan Castle. Our guests had a blast and the one word used repeatedly to describe the day was ?relaxed?.
We had an amazing wedding coordinator Ms Sylvia Regan who took all the stress of planning a wedding from us. On the day itself we were free to enjoy ourselves as we knew our guests were well catered for and looked after. I can talk about the aesthetics but that speaks for itself but it was Kilronan personnel who made our day.

Our wedding in Kilronan was the most magical day of our lives. The venue speaks for itself, but we have had numerous guests compliment the food, the decor, the set up and most highly praised were the staff themselves. The staff were beyond brilliant, managing our guests, needs, the day two, and everything flawlessly.

Our Wedding Coordinator Monica, is an absolute credit to the team in Kilronan and I hope they know this. She took the wedding on with only a few short weeks to spare, as our previous wedding coordinator had left her position, and everything was executed perfectly. She took everything in her stride while still finding time to check in on the bridal party, particularly me as the bride, ensuring that all was in order and not rushing us around or worrying about time-management. She was the safe pair of hands that kept the day going and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.

Monica and her team are a dream to work with and I hope every bride is as lucky as I was to have a team like them.

Kilronan Castle is a dream destination for a wedding, any time of the year. Clare and her team work exceptionally hard, whilst making everything look smooth and effortless. All correspondence with the hotel was always positive and friendly. Staff greeting you at the front door to behind the scenes go above and beyond. In the build up to our wedding, nothing was an issue and we were accommodated so well in having everything set up in the days leading up to the wedding. Room reservations can be stressful but not with Clare and her team, there was never an issue to change and re-arrange names, always seamless and effortless. All our guests spoke so highly of the service and quality of the food in the banquet room as well as their overall stay for the wedding. Their grounds also make for fabulous photos, the entrance along driveway alone would take your breath away! We can't wait to return to Kilronan and celebrate many anniversaries to come.

We had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle last month. As soon as we visited the Castle. We knew this was our venue. Clare and the staff were exceptional and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The food was excellent and everyone was commenting on how good it was. Our day was perfect and we couldn't fault anything. We look forward to visiting again soon.

I just want to say a special and big thank you to Jessica our wedding co-ordinator who helped us plan our dream day. Jessica was always at the end of the phone or email for any questions we had and always got back to us straight away. On the day of our wedding she was there with us the hole day making sure every little detail was taken care off. She was absolutely our rock through the whole organisation stages so thank you so very much.

Leading up to the day Jessica our coordinator gave excellent advice through our many emails and telephone calls and was always accommodating no matter how many room changes or guest changes I had. The guidance in relation to the choices for the food in the dungeon bar pre-reception and the 11pm food was spot on and people really enjoyed it.

The Friday night before the wedding was very good with the finger food, cakes and drinks and it was perfect for all the international travellers to meet each other and meet with both our families. The food itself was great. The staff on the night there were sound, friendly, accommodating and a bit of craic which was a common theme throughout the weekend.

The breakfast in the morning was a great idea to have it away from others and the Flower Girl who was with us had a great time.

The day itself was great although the weather didn't behave, it didn't really seem to make any difference. In talking to the bride she had nothing but praise for all the staff and the hotel on the morning of the wedding during her preparations. The gentleman at the door was very helpful to myself and the groomsmen and also to the Bride and her gang.

After the ceremony the reception at the door for us both was very nice, where you had 3 or 4 members of staff on hand.
The Dungeon bar was an ideal location for before the reception and was actually one of the elements that sold me on the hotel. Everyone was in great form down there. Once the guests were gone from that area we were kept for a while and given some snacks and some drinks which was unexpected but a very nice touch. Again the staff down there were great.

The entrance to the function room was handled brilliantly with the staff again putting us all at ease.

The food itself was great with a lot of people commenting on how nice it was and also the size of the portions. The Mushroom Vol Au Vents were a big hit with everyone but especially the Americans who I guess weren't familiar with it.

The Americans couldn't get over how good the service was from start to finish.

Bar staff were excellent and quick all throughout the night.

As mentioned before the staff on duty along with the catering staff were excellent, I believe their names were Jaco, Kevin and Robert. Very easy to get on with and were a bit of craic also.

Overall the experience was great and I or anyone else couldn't fault the hotel in the slightest, it was 100% top class, indeed it was over and above what I had expected.

Wow! What a venue, what a place! We had our special day back in February and we?ve heard nothing but great feedback from all our guests saying what a fantastic venue it was and how attentive staff were. From our point of view the day from start to finish was just run so smoothly everything was on time and the staff couldn?t do enough for us. As for Jessica our wedding coordinator she was just so lovely to deal with from the very first viewing of the venue to our checkout the next morning. She was there anytime we needed her and any way she could help in she did. Couldn?t recommend Kilronan enough-we?ll be back!

We honestly could not recommend Kilronan Castle more as a wedding venue. It was the first venue we visited and we decided there and then we had found our venue - we were so happy with everything that we cancelled every other viewing we had booked. The venue itself is stunning especially at Christmas time with all the decorations and the grounds are perfect for outdoor photographs. The staff are amazing, the wedding team in the run up to our wedding, Monica, Shayne, Rachel and Marianne were always on hand to answer any queries we had and made the whole planning experience so enjoyable. The service provided by the kitchen/bar/waiting staff on the day was also second to none and so many guests have since commented on the excellent service received as well as the beautiful meal. We were delighted with how everything went on the day and the hotel made our wedding everything we wanted and so much more.

We chose Kilronan Castle for our wedding venue back in 2018, we knew from the moment we visited the beautiful castle that it was the one. We were instantly taken aback by the exceptional service and stunning setting of the castle. Our wedding was postponed three times due to the pandemic. It was an exceptionally difficult decision to make each time, although Jessica our wedding coordinator could not have been more supportive and understanding throughout. The kindness and compassion that was shown to us from Jessica throughout these four years will always stay with us. Exhausted from the wait we decided to get married while restrictions were in place, with just close family present at our local church in 2021. We had our wedding party at Kilronan Castle this December 2022. Considering we were officially married a year and a half when we finally got to celebrate with friends and family the day was somewhat unusual. Nevertheless, from start to finish, it couldn't have gone better for us. Jessica and the staff at Kilronan did an exceptional job at looking after us. The food was outstanding, our guests are still waxing lyrical about it. The table service was second-to-none. The pre-wedding dinner rehearsal was perfectly relaxed and enjoyable. The attention to detail that was shown to us from Jessica and all the team was extraordinary. We are still beaming about how it all went and it was certainly worth the wait! Thank you so much to Jessica and all the wonderful staff at Kilronan Castle. We will be sure to visit again soon and we will cherish our memories forever.

When we first visited Kilronan Caslte as a possible wedding venue, we both knew right away that we had found our dream venue. We met with Shayne our wedding coordinator; from finalising our wedding details right through to our wedding day, he made our whole wedding experience a pleasure. Any queries were responded to promptly and he also gave us some guidance and advice which had a positive impact on our Wedding day. On our wedding day, Shayne played a massive part in the smooth running of the day. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

As we got married in December, the Christmas decorations were just amazing, lovely cosy winter feels with the fires and warm interiors. The Dungeon bar for reception drinks is the ideal place to catch up with everyone before heading to the function room.
As a couple getting married, you also want all your guests to enjoy the day. We have received so many compliments from our guests who said they thoroughly enjoyed their day. We had so many positive reports regarding how good the food was and not forgetting the friendliness of all the staff working on the day.

We first viewed Kilronan Castle in 2020 and instantly fell in love with the beauty of the castle and the fantastic setting all around it. Monica and Marieanne could not have been better with their advice, responses and professionalism throughout our wedding planning.

The meal on the day was absolutely beautiful and the staff etiquette was first class/ we had never experienced anything like it before and every guest commented on how brilliant and friendly the servers, bar staff and other hotel staff were.
From seating planning to suit guests with mobility difficulties and dietary requirements for other guests we never had any difficulty in contacting anyone from the hotel- they were always extremely supportive and helpful!

The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was like something out of a fairytale, it was absolutely stunning, including the function room. The bedrooms were clean, warm and comfortable- every guest was very happy with their stay.
Cannot recommend Kilronan Castle enough, it is such a gem in Ireland and an absolute pleasure to experience. We are so glad we chose kilronan to have our wedding day, would do it all again in a hesrtbeat!

We got married in Kilronan Castle on the 14th of October 2022, and I don?t know where to begin to explain how absolutely amazing and Perfect everything was.
Shayne looked after us so well throughout from first visit to all our queries and calls, having to bring the wedding forward and down to the wedding day, holding my flowers and my veil and taking me downstairs to the car and calming me down. He was amazing. They looked after my mum so well who was very ill at the time and made sure she was comfortable in her room. The food was amazing, we had a buffet the night before also which was first class. The service, The staff, the atmosphere, everything was 100% perfect and all of our family and guests loved it. Thank you so much Kilronan and Shayna for the most lovely memories and making everything so easy for us during a stressful time. I cannot recommend Kilronan enough and we can?t wait to get back for our anniversary!

From the first day I set foot in Kilronan Castle I knew it was where I wanted to get married! We couldn't have asked for a better experience, from our excellent wedding co-ordinator Shayne, who was so helpful & responsive to all our queries, to the professional kind staff and of course the absolutely delicious food! Our guests had nothing but positive things to say, with many saying they would be back to visit again! I couldn't recommend Kilronan Castle highly enough to anyone thinking of getting married here, it was everything we wished for and more!

Everything was great only some small pieces of feedback.
1. The price of the chips in the buffet at ?4pp was too expensive
2. The bar staff were quite slow, especially the evening before the wedding with people having to wait long periods
3. The room Conor had (112) to get ready in the morning of the wedding was too small
4. We think it would have been fair to have been given the option of having the wedding out on the lake the morning of the wedding instead of having to make the decision the night before

Jessica our wedding coordinator was amazing- she was really supportive throughout and really helped everything run smoothly. All of the staff were amazing on the day- we couldn?t have asked for more. We could not find any issues with the service we got at Kilronan from the day we first visited. Shayne Kenny dealt with monique and myself. We would highly recommend anyone thinking of getting married in Kilronan to ask for Shayne as a wedding coordinator. He went over and beyond to meet our requirements .Even when we were concerned he gave us assurance all would be ok and it was. We are living in London and we had to put a lot of trust in what Shayne advised us

We got married in March 2022 and were extremely impressed with Kilronan Castle. All of our guests really enjoyed the few days. The staff, especially Clare Horgan our wedding co-ordinator, were very accommodating, helpful and responsive in the months, weeks and days leading up to wedding, and also afterwards. Food on the day of the wedding and the day after (in the Dungeon Bar) was also excellent. Would highly recommend.

Planning a wedding whilst living abroad and during a pandemic was never going to be ideal, however Shayne and the Kilronan Castle Team ensured that our day exceeded our expectations!

All queries were dealt with professionally and enthusiastically; the team were always happy to take our personal preferences on board - ensuring that our Wedding Day felt tailor-made.

Having our Pre-Wedding Celebration, our Ceremony and Reception in the hotel was a fantastic call. The high standard of food and service remained consistent throughout the two days. Even now, our guests still comment on how fantastic the overall experience was.

Shayne was out wedding coordinator and to say the day ran without fault wouldn't even begin to describe how perfectly the day went. From the moment we woke up in the morning until we headed for bed in the wee hours, we really got the 5 star treatment. I can't praise the whole team highly enough.

Everyone in Kilronan Castle was extremely helpful and absolutely delightful to work with. From day 1 when we chose them as our venue, Shayne and Claire made us feel so comfortable. Our whole experience from start to finish was impeccable. We had a superb time and felt like we were VIPs at the venue. It was like home from home..but with a butler and staff service :)(They couldn't do enough for us!) I would recommend Kilronan Castle for future wedding couples as it was a winter wonderland for us but its gorgeous anytime of the year. It has been 3 weeks already since our AMAZING wedding in Kilronan Castle. When I say this place is like something out of a dream, I am not joking!! We went to view Kilronan followed by another venue and straight away we knew Kilronan was for us. We didn't want to look at anywhere else. The venue is beyond stunning and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Clare was our wedding coordinator, she is so professional and on the ball with everything. She made our wedding planning a breeze. On the day, everything went smoothly and our guests loved the food (the vol au vent & the slow braised beef especially). To anyone considering booking Kilronan, go for it! You will not be disappointed. I wish we could do it all over again! BEST DAY EVER!

We got married 6th September 2019 at Kilronan Castle. The service the room setup and the food was impeccable from start to finish. All staff were friendly, approachable and could not do enough for you. Lots of My guests were so impressed by Kilronan they have went back to it for spa days and overnight stays! Myself and my husband had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle on May 10th 2019. Our day was just simply amazing. We could not give high enough praise for this venue. Not only is it in the most beautiful, serene and idyllic location, the grounds and castle itself are breathtaking. It is an extremely welcoming venue to anybody who walks through the doors. The level of service that we received at Kilronan was second to none. Every single member of staff, from the team at reception, to Tommy the porter, the bar staff, housekeeping and catering staff went above and beyond for us. In particular, the service at our wedding meal was like nothing I had ever seen before. The attention to detail was out of this world. Every single one of our guests remarked on how delicious and plentiful the food was. Special thanks, of course, must go to the wedding team at Kilronan. Our wedding coordinator Clare Horgan was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Throughout the entire experience we knew that we could rely on her and that she had everything under control. This took an immense amount of pressure off us as planning weddings can be stressful. Clare was always extremely calm and laid back which put us at ease. She gave us some invaluable advice and hints and tips about timings, food selection, things people notice, run of the day, etc. I cannot praise her enough. We had our wedding on New Year?s Eve 2018, Clare Horgan was our wedding co ordinator & she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She exceeded all our expectations and nothing was any trouble for her, she was so accommodating to all our needs, and kept me calm in the run up to the big day! I highly recommend Claire and we are so thankful for all she done for us. The banqueting staff at kilronan were fabulous and the food was just unbelievable. Wow is an understatement. Fairytale setting that has multiple awards for good reason. The setting and castle itself is breathtaking but along with clear and prompt communication in the lead up and during the wedding, delicious food served with military precision, professional staff including fantastic wedding coordinators (we were delighted to have Ciara helping us) it was the perfect venue for our wedding day.

I honestly cannot imagine anything going better on our wedding day. Planning a wedding from Canada could have been a headache, but Claire and the team at Kilronan made it an absolute breeze.

All of the staff at Kilronan are fantastic. We really felt like Kilronan was our home away from home for our wedding weekend. When I look back on our wedding day I just beam, there is literally nothing i would change or want done differently. Kilronan Castle was the only place we viewed when looking for a wedding venue. We did not need to look else where when it provided us with all we desired and more. We got married in Kilronan Castle on the 1st of December 2017, the whole day was truly magical. Kilronan Castle went out of their way to make everything so special for us. Simon was our wedding coordinator, he is a true professional. He was there with us at every step of the journey on the lead up to the day and throughout the whole weekend, always there to calm nerves and get us anything we needed in an instant - thank you so much Simon for making our day truly special.

The venue itself is stunning, particularly at Christmas, we were so proud to hear all our guests loved it and complimented everything from the friendly staff through to the delicious food. Kilronan was the perfect place for our wedding. We knew after the first cup of tea with Ciara our coordinator that this was where we wanted to have our special day. We planned our wedding from abroad and Ciara made the whole planning process enjoyable and relaxed. All the staff were so professional and really took care of us on the day. We got married in Kilronan Castle last Friday, 22nd September. The service we received was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Monica Feeney was our wedding coordinator & she was absolutely brilliant. There was no request too big & she ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. In the lead up she was always on hand to help us all she could. We had a few additional requests for the day & there was never an issue. All the staff were just so professional, helpful & attentive. Monica made the day so easy & stress free. She was brilliant to have around. I would recommend Kilronan Castle to anyone. Our guests are still talking about it, not one bad word has been said. Everyone was so impressed with the venue & the service. I would recommend Monica as well as she gave us the 5 star service & was a pleasure to work with & have around on the day.

Monica and everyone at Kilronan were excellent to deal with. We planned our wedding in 5 months and they made it very easy, taking care of lots of details. The control freak in me loved the itinerary we got at every meeting, showing what was decided and what was to be done. We even called her from the car enroute to the hotel on the wedding day to add a guest that had shown up unexpectedly and they took care of everything! On the day everything went so smoothly, the service and food was fantastic and they made all of our guests feel like VIPs.

We had our wedding in Kilronan Castle last July. We had a terrific experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew this venue was special. We were met by Simon who was very helpful and assured us throughout the whole process not to worry, that everything would be perfect and indeed it was. It was everything we hoped for and more. Simon was very efficient with replies to our emails and dealt with every request. No job was too big. The whole weekend from start to finish was great. The professionalism and friendliness of the Kilronan staff was remarked upon by many of our guests. They went out of their way to make our families and guests feel very welcome. Things ran according to schedule as we had requested. The food was fabulous, both the wedding food and the super buffet for breakfast the next morning. The views and scenery from the Dungeon Bar are spectacular and it was an ideal location for the drinks and welcome reception. Overall, I cannot recommend Kilronan highly enough. Anybody who has their wedding there is in for a treat. Am really looking forward to returning for a visit soon.

I think all that needs to be said about Kilronan Castle, their staff, accommodation and food is 5 star quality all the way. I really wish I could do it all over again with them. I'll have to make up some excuse to go back and visit at least :D

We had our wedding in Kilronan Castle on 26 November 2016 and we can honestly say that it was the most wonderful day of our lives. Myself and my mum visited Kilronan Castle earlier in the year and we knew instantly that this venue was superb. Our wedding co-ordinator, Monica, was soo helpful from the first time we met. She responded to all our queries and recommended excellent suppliers (photographers, videographers, b&b's, florist, bands, djs etc) and this made our lives very easy. I felt that I had discussed every detail of the wedding with Monica well in advance of the wedding so that there was nothing really to do the day before the wedding except to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. I got to stay two nights in the amazing bridal suite which was soo comfortable and such a beautiful setting to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. On the wedding day itself, all our guests were delighted with the food and drinks. They were especially impressed by the quality of service provided by all the staff in Kilronan and the beautiful scenery that surrounds the castle. The I would recommend this hotel to any couple getting married.

We had a fantastic wedding on the day and it would be very hard to find fault with anything or any of the staff as they are all so helpful.

We had a lot of questions for our wedding coordinator Ciara in the build up to the wedding but as you can appreciate the wedding coordinators are all inundated with queries but you just need to be patient as they do come back to you as soon as they can.

The attention we were given from Monica Feeney and Simon Petka from start to finish was second to none. No task was too big or too small and the service was exceptional from everyone involved in our wedding, including the lovely Anna who served us at the top table. We spent 3 nights in Kilronan Castle celebrating our wedding and we wouldn't change a thing. There were only compliments from our guests on how great the food tasted alongside the venue and what a great wedding it was, everything was magical. We got married in Kilronan in October and wer dealing with Ciara Maxwell who was our wedding coordinator. We are living in the UK which meant we could not call up to Kilronan on a regular basis in the lead up to our wedding. Ciara was extremly helpful in that sense and gave us names and suppliers for everything we were looking for both for the reception and the Church. The menu tasting was amazing and the service was exceptional. The service and staff on our wedding day were so friendly and helpfull and their attention to detail was unbelieveable. From the minute we entered to door everything was perfect. I woul strongly recommend Kilrona Castle and Ciara Maxwell for any future couples. It may not be the cheapest venue but it is definatly one of the best and you cannot put a price on the service provided.

I Just can't rave about Kilronan Castle enough. Everything about this venue was just perfection for us. We got married at Keadue chapel which is just less than 2 miles away and then came back to kilronan for the reception. Our food at our reception was just first class as well as the service. All our wedding guests just loved the venue! The staff here are just so friendly and welcoming. We had our wedding at Kilronan Castle in July and we couldn't speak highly enough of it. In the run up to the wedding nothing was too much trouble and Monica our wedding planner was always on hand when needed.

On the day, we had our photographs taken on the grounds which were absolutely stunning and it was a real advantage not to have to travel to another location for photographs.

The food was absolutely delicious; guests still remark upon it to us now almost six months later.

The most perfect day in the most perfect venue!

I don't know where to begin when it comes to describing our wedding day at Kilronan Castle.
The castle is a stunning location for a wedding any time of the year, and having ours around Christmas time made it truly special. Every one of our guests commented on and were amazed by the beauty of Kilronan. That long driveway up to the castle overlooking the lough is a scene we'll never forget.
The amazing wedding coordinators, Ciara and Monica made the planning of our big day so easy from the day we secured our date.
Having planned our wedding from overseas, Ciara made the whole process so simple and trouble-free. She was always only a phone call or email away and no task was too big or too small. We took Ciara's advice and recommendations on most of our suppliers, including our beautiful flowers, the superb wedding band, the talented hair and make-up and the outstanding videographer. All provided the perfect service for our day.
On the lead-up to the wedding, we met with Monica to run through the day. She made sure all our questions were answered and made us feel totally at ease about the big day. On the morning of the wedding, Monica was fantastic. She called me several times to make sure everything was ok and made sure she was always on hand for any requests we had. Even when we were having our professional photographs taken outside, Monica was there to lend the hand wherever she could, even fixing my dress and holding my bouquet!
We were married on site (civil ceremony) in the gorgeous Palm Court and the ceremony had a real unique and personal atmosphere.
Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was. Take our advice, include the 'fillet of beef' in your menu!!! Your guests will thank you for it. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, everything is carried out with military precision under guidance of the banquet manager, Krishna. The toast drink was a massive talking point and a great photo opportunity.

The Balroom Manager ensured everything was on track and the food was outstanding. We got so many compliments about the quality of food. We had champagne in our package and the way it was served to our guests created great drama and added to the atmosphere.

If your not planning to get married in kilronan castle I have to ask why?! Where to I start? well the best place is obviously the first day we saw the place such a stunning venue just amazing. The grounds, the castle, the rooms, the function room! Then we met ciara our wedding master! She took us through everything and to our surprise the venue was within our budget we couldn't believe it! We booked it on the spot. We had 9 months to plan but because of Ciaras guidance and the staff responsive nature it took about 2 months really. We booked our band and DJ and off we went! We had a civil marriage and at Christmas so the trees are amazing I recommend it! We went for our wedding tasting and the legend that is Manish talked us through everything it was so brilliant. And the food! Let's face it on your wedding day you want your food to be amazing and people raved about it at ours. On our tasting weekend Ciara met us after a day in the spa and asked me questions id never think about. She added details we wanted and it all happened on the day! Every detail looked at and carefully noted. Then the wedding day arrived and I honestly didn't think about a thing! It's weird because I'm a control freak but because everything just happened I didn't have anytime to think 'oh what about..' There was no need for that! From Sean at the door lifting my dress to the ladies on reception, to the no messing around getting up the aisle, the room was amazing, so special! Then on to the beautiful Mullied wine reception, Anne the lady that looked after us at the top table on the day, she knew us by name and Mary from down the road who looked after everyone is the breakfast room bringing extra eggs. It's the staff you will rave about after your day trust me because they are the ones that make you feel special and welcomed. You can see it in their smiles! They seem so proud of what they do and so they should be! The food on the day was just as amazing as the tasting and they do some very special things for the toast but I won't ruin the surprise for you! We were the first same sex couple to get officially married there and when we arrived they were flying the pride flag for the flag poles! That alone just says to you how far they will go to make you feel welcome. And here's another point about them, from start to finish because Ciara wasn't there the day we checked out so Sam met us and her knowledge of us and the wedding made me feel like she was an under study it was amazing! All myself and Geraldine can say is stop looked for a venue right now and book Kilronan because you'll love it! Much love to the staff! X

Myself and my husband,David would like to thank Kilronan Castle for giving us the most memorable day of our lives on 17th October when we got married there.We got engaged on 31st October and got straight into our wedding planning in November.We viewed a few wedding venues and had liked them and were considering them as possible venues for our wedding.However,something different happened once we drove up the long tree lined avenue with Kilronan Castle sitting high up on the hill,overlooking Lough Meelagh and we went inside the castle.We both knew in our hearts that Kilronan Castle just had something special to offer us that the other venues didn't.

Not trying to push my preference for Kilronan Castle on David, I said to him,'So,what do you think of here as a venue for our wedding?'.I absolutely loved it and was hoping that David did too but if he didn't,I knew that we would have to look at other venues as it was important to us to have a venue that we both loved.I was ecstatic when David replied 'I love it...I think this would be a lovely place for us to have our wedding reception.What do you think of it?'We both fell in love with it immediately.We hoped our wedding co-ordinator would be nice and helpful and that we would like the package that it offered to couples getting married there.

Our wedding co-ordinator was Monica Feeney.She gave us a big welcome and made us feel very at ease with her from the very beginning.She offered us tea and biscuits which was much appreciated after our long journey down from Dublin.Throughout the initial consultation, Monica was very informative about the wedding packages that Kilronan Castle offer.She was cheerful and we even shared some funny stories about ourselves.This,we both felt we could do with Monica because we relaxed so much in her company and didn't feel rushed with her.She gave us all the time we needed as she knew we were excited about planning our wedding but had so many questions.Monica listened attentively to each of our questions about the hotel and the packages and answered each in turn.We both felt that Kilronan Castle would go out of it's way to make our wedding day the most special and memorable day of our lives.I felt so excited at all that Kilronan Castle offers to the wedding couple and their guests. When Monica left us to get extra information for us,with excitement in our eyes and big smiles, we both glanced at each other and I said, 'Wow,this place is just amazing and Monica is really lovely!We both felt an instant connection with Monica,one that we hadn't felt with the other wedding co-ordinators that we had met before her.We knew that we just 'clicked' with her.She was so easy to talk to and not feel afraid to ask questions.We knew she was very informed about her job and the hotel and what it offers couple planning a wedding.We were then eager to secure Kilronan Castle for our wedding especially now as we knew the wedding co-ordinator was so friendly and approachable.When Monica returned to us, we told her that we were definitely interested in having our wedding reception there.She was very surprised at our quick decision but we knew nowhere else compared to Kilronan castle and Monica.We knew our search was over! We looked at dates available and were delighted to see that the 17th October 2015 was free.We left Monica and Kilronan Castle feeling so excited and happy that we found our fairytale location for our wedding and we looked forward to planning it all with Monica.

Over the year,we met Monica on various dates to discuss the wedding and to pay installments.On each occasion, Monica welcomed us with a big hug and smile, which was always a great start!She always made sure that we were looked after well by the waiting staff of Kilronan Castle.Monica is a true professional who knows a lot about her job and always deals with her couples in a friendly and relaxed manner.She was always accomodating with any requests that we had.This made our whole experience of planning our wedding hassle free and stress free.Monica was always available to answer calls or answer queries by email promptly.This reduced any stress as well.

The week of the wedding finally arrived! We were both excited rather than nervous about our big day as we knew our wedding was in good hands with Monica.We met Monica the day before and went through all the final details.Myself and David could not wait for the day to come and could sense from Monica that she was excited too and was looking forward to helping us on the day and making sure everything went to plan.We both that it was a very special touch when we both received a call from Monica on the morning of the wedding to wish us good luck from herself and all the staff from Kilronan Castle.She said that she was looking forward to seeing us after the wedding ceremony.

When we arrived at the castle,it was great to see Monica there with her customary warm smile and welcome.She offered us our glasses of champagne.Throughout the whole day, she was there to make sure that everything was going to plan and to assure us that she was there if we needed her for anything.That gave us peace of mind.We completely relaxed knowing that we had Monica around us.Monica made sure that our guests were enjoying themselves.She made sure that myself and David and the whole bridal party got enough food after our photographs in the beautiful surroundings of the castle.It was very exciting lining up in the long,candlelit corridor that led to the exquisite ballroom where all our guests were seated and waiting for us.It was reassuring to hear the familiar voice of Monica introduce us all one by one.Myself and David smiled with delight when she introduced my nieces and David's cousins as 'the cutest flowergirls and the most handsome pageboys that she has ever seen!'This brough huge smiles to our two little flowergirls and pageboys.They had felt like princes and princesses for the day and that was just the 'topping on the cake' for them! We heard Monica ask the guests to be upstanding to welcome the bride and groom and 'to give a big welcome to the new Mr and Mrs Meates'.The big doors opened and we both were smiling from cheek to cheek.It had been an amazing day up to that and it was just continuing that way.We couldn't believe that everything had been just perfect the whole day long!

The meal was fantastic.Myself and David could not believe that we actually ate all our dinner as we had heard from other married couples that 'you won't eat much of your meal as you will be nervous and just not hungry'.Each course was delicious and we were going to enjoy it as much as we did at our menu tasting in June.The waiting staff at our wedding were amazing and faultless.At the top table,we each had a waiter/waitress and on a signal,they lifted the galoshes simultaneously to uncover our very well presented meal.This was a great bit of extra attention for us all on the top table but it was also a great show for our guests.During the meal,music started to play and we weren't sure what was going to happen next.To our utmost surprise and everyone else in the ballroom, the waiting staff filed out to each table and suddenly, flames of fire shot up from five tables to the side of the room.At that, the champagne bottles that each of the waiting staff were holding popped! This was so impressive for us and for each of our guests there! We couldn't stop smiling at each other. This day was getting better and better and was just so unbelievable to think that it was our wedding day!Champagne was then poured for each table.It was a lovely surprise for us as we knew about everything else as we had planned them with Monica.Our guests are still talking about the champagne popping and about the best food they had at a wedding.Our guests have nothing but fantastic comments to say about the staff - how friendly they all were and that nothing was a problem for them.Monica came to us at the top table and assured us that she was there if we needed her for anything.This helped us relax more and meant we could just mix with our guests for the night and dance the night away with ease.

We cannot recommend Kilronan Castle highly enough as a wedding venue.If you want a top class venue and one that your guests will be raving about for months after your wedding, then look no further than Kilronan. We were definitely glad we made our quick but correct decision to make Kilronan Castle our wedding venue when we met Monica back in November last year.From start to finish, it was an amazing experience planning our weddingand then,having the best day of our lives there! It is a place that we now hold dear in our hearts (almost like our second home now!!) and will definitely be back to relive our memories over and over again.While the venue is spectacular in every way,we feel that the whole experience was made so pleasurable and hassle free as a result of having such a professional, friendly and courteous wedding co-ordinator. Monica Feeney is a top class wedding co-ordinator and an asset to Kilronan Castle. Any couple wishing to have their wedding reception in beautiful Kilronan Castle will be very lucky if they have Monica to help them on their exciting journey of planning their wedding there and to be with them on the big day itself!

We couldn't of been happier from the moment we arrived at Kilronan Castle we knew we would get married here. Staff & service are outstanding in particular Monica Feeney the wedding planner. She completely had our minds at ease & seen as we were based in Dublin we had 100% trust in their ability to deliver on the day & they absolutely did.

Most amazing venue ever!!!!!!!! The wedding co ordinator Sam was amazing!the staff were so polite professional and could not do enough for us and our guests! I over heard people talking about our wedding having the "wow" factor and I'm so happy that I know they loved it and will always refere my wedding to have been fantastic!!! Attention to detail and little gestures blew us away!!!!I always have something to say but I feel kilronan left us speechless!!!!I'd recommend kilronan to anyone who wants the wow factor!!

From our first visit to Kilronan Castle we knew there was nowhere else that we would want to have our wedding. The staff throughout the entire hotel are so friendly and helpful. Monica Feeney was our wedding co ordinator and she was fantastic from start to finish, always available for any questions and last minute changes! She was also a great help to me on the morning of the wedding, helpful without being intrusive. The food, the service, the setting everything from start to finish was run with military precision. Our guests were still raving about it weeks later. I can highly recommend Kilronan for any couples who are looking for the perfect fairytale venue. Not only is it a stunning venue from the outside but the staff and level of service definitely match. 5 starts all round.

From the first day we went to look at Kilronan Castle as a possible wedding venue till the day we went home after our wedding every single aspect of the service we received was outstanding. The staff were superb, every single person we encountered was so professional, so helpful and so welcoming. All of our guests commented on this also - especially impressed by the service they were given during the dinner the night of the wedding.

In terms of the venue itself we loved it so much as it catered perfectly for what we wanted. The banquet room itself is beautiful and spacious, with a large bar and toilets in the room, and just a small smoking area just outside meaning not too many people hung outside for too long! The drinks reception in the dungeon / out on the lawn was the perfect setting and the hotel having 80+ rooms and houses as well to rent meant a large amount of our guests could stay over at the venue. We also booked to have a bbq the second night in the dungeon with live music, the food was exceptional. Kilronan provided the live music and we paid then for a dj, which worked out great for another late night! The exceptional service we had been getting was just as good again on this night.

There is no points that i could offer brides and grooms considering Kilronan, as everything was flawless, they deliver in every way. They literally cover everything and give you great piece of mind in the run up to the wedding as well as on the day. They understood fully what we wanted and anything we asked for they did. The wedding co-ordinators were fantastic too, they were always so on top of everything and very responsive. We had worked with Olivia and then Samantha both of whom were outstanding.

We also used a number of local suppliers that Kilronan had recommended such as cannaboe confectionary, la belle fleur, Ivan Keaney photography and we married in the local church in keadue with the parish priest Fr Faughnan marrying us, who we found lovely and so helpful to us as we prepared for our marriage.
I would highly recommend Kilronan Castle as its not just a spectacular venue, the staff, service, food and facilities are all superb.

They were only an email or phone call away. We found them very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. No issue was too big or too small. They also recommended our videographer and photographer who did a fantastic job as well. The set-up in Kilronan Castle on the day of the wedding was phenomenal. From arrival, to the reception, the candlelit hallway to the ballroom, everything was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and we received multiple comments from our guests regarding how beautiful Kilronan Castle looked and how fantastic the meal was. The toast drink surprise was spectacular! All the staff did such an amazing job throughout the day and in the lead up to the wedding. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us. We would highly recommend Kilronan Castle to anyone who is thinking about getting married there. It was a very special & memorable day for us, our families & all our guests. Amazing service and venue. Samantha was like having our own private wedding planner. Super organised, professional and helpful even with the smallest of tasks. Everyone loved the meal and it was executed with extreme precision. It was impressive to witness.

Fabulous venue and the staff were amazing from day one. Their attention to detail was very impressive and nothing was over looked. On top of all this, the hotel is beautiful, ample oppurtunitues for beautiful photographs both inside and outside the hotel. Our guests are still talking about the food on the day. Good value for money and we have no regrets.

We had our wedding on Easter Monday in Kilronan Castle. From start to finish we could not praise our wedding coordinator Monica Feeney highly enough. Monica is a true professional, very helpful, full of fantastic tips & advice. She took all the stress out of the wedding prep, she is very confident and relaxed and this rubbed off on us! She clearly loves her job, is very passionate & enthusiastic and nothing was a problem for her.
On the day the hotel like looked fabulous, the sun was shining, we had our drinks reception outside looking at the lake. It felt like being at a garden party. The food was excellent, from the canap?s to the fillet of beef, truly top class and we received endless compliments on the day. The kitchen staff & waiting staff should be comended. Every table was treated with the same importance as the top table. We could not fault one aspect of our wedding day. Kilronan is a fantastic venue.

We had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle in March 2015. We had a fantastic experience and cannot recommend this venue highly enough. We loved the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful castle. There were lots of great locations for photographs. We visited the venue many times in the run up to the wedding and the staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. Our menu tasting was a definite highlight of the wedding planning process; we were very well looked after and felt totally spoilt. We had lots of compliments about the food on the day and the service in the dining room was really professional and a sight to behold. The key lime pie dessert was a favourite with many guests! Ciara Maxwell was our wedding coordinator. She was very approachable and provided us with useful tips throughout. Thanks so much to Ciara and all of the team; we cannot wait to visit again!

We cannot commend the venue and its staff enough. From the planning stage right through to the day and afterwards we and our guests had wonderful service and an amazing experience.
The staff came into their own on the day and we are very appreciative of all that they did. We had a medical emergency on the day, which the venue excelled itself handling, We also needed to return for an additional photo shoot and again we had a great experience.

We got married in Kilronan Castle on the 18th March 2011, and I cannot express how good of time we and all of our guests had. We arrived on St Patrick's Day, had dinner in the restaurant the night before with approx 40 of our guests.... down to the Dungeon Bar, live music and some craic and ceol was a wonderful way to start off the weekend. Up early, and I had family breakfast in the restaurant - was lovely to have everyone together, the hotel staff made us feel like it was a home from home.. no request was too much. The day itself passed without a hitch.. we had the piper as we arrived, champagne reception - Samantha our wedding co-ordinator had saved some canapes and drinks for the bridal party while the guests got seated.. and much to our surprise had added pictures to all of our table names which was 80's tv programmes. It was such a wonderful touch. Our guests are still talking about how good the food, staff and hotel in general was. Our day was wonderful, I wouldnt change a thing.. so glad we picked Kilronan Castle as the venue for our reception - would have no hesitation in recomending...Thanks to all once again, especially Samantha.. we look forward to returning very soon
