If the funds are on the low side and you’re looking for a pretty but striking way to decorate your reception space, we may just have the solution for you! Pom poms are a brilliant way to decorate your venue and if you’ve the time and a couple of helpers, they can be a really budget friendly DIY project. They’re super easy to make – use everything from fabric and tissue paper to tulle and magazines to make them (there’s lots of easy tutorials around – check out one such handy tutorial here) and the great thing is, they can be made in any colour scheme you like. They’re great for bringing an instant splash of colour to the room and they look beautiful to boot. Of course, if you fancy keeping things on the subtle side, you can always opt for one chic shade like ivory, silver or gold.
Pom poms are especially great for prettying up marquees and can instantly liven up a gorgeous white blank canvas with your chosen colours. But pom poms aren’t just for marquees, you can use them to decorate any style of wedding venue. They look particularly gorgeous and make a real statement feature when hanging from the ceiling but they have lots of other uses as well – use them as a backdrop for your cake table, pop some on the end of your pews to liven up the aisle or make some pom poms in to drink stirrers to jazz up your drinks reception. Check out more gorgeous ideas and inspiration below…
Where to buy pom poms: Pearls & Lace Boutique, an online store based in Donegal stock gold and ivory paper pom poms. and online store like Pom Pom Studio and Paper Poms stock a variety of colours.
