Model and Chanel Ambassador Poppy Delevingne wowed when she stepped out in this couture Chanel gown and the rest of her look followed suit. Her blonde locks which were balayaged to perfection by Jack Howard, the International Colour director at Neville Hair & Beauty and were woven in to soft, tousled waves which were simple and romantic against her beautifully embellished gown.

We nearly booked a hair appointment when we saw this stunning new do Emma Stone was sporting at the Venice Film Festival. The bob is back with a bang for autumn/winter and this chic and simple do will be a firm favourite with short haired brides and non-brides alike. From the hint of a wave through her tousled locks to her carefully swept fringe, this style is classic beauty with a twist. If you want to dress up this look a little, add flowers or a vintage inspired headpiece for that wow factor.

While Kate Bosworth sported a bun and veil combo for her Big Day, we love her choice of loose, carefree waves for her rehearsal dinner! This softly tousled style is gently pulled back from the face letting her natural make-up look shine bright. Girly and gorgeous!

Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling opted for a tousled side parting, and edgy updo for her night at this year’s Emmy’s. The gentle wispy tendrils at the front frame the face adding a romantic, effortless air. It’s also the perfect way to showcase some statement earrings.

Jessica Simpson threw one helluva party for her wedding bash (or so we heard) and she dazzled by the looks of it too. From her sparkly gold wedding gown to this chic half up half down hair do is pulled back from the face in to an elegant twist. This timeless hairstyle is perfect for brides that love their hair loose but don’t want it bothering them throughout the day either.

The new Mrs Fernandez-Versini wore black for her big day and opted for an elegant top knot to complete her look. This feisty yet elegant style is perfect for brides that want a chic and sharp hair do for the Big Day. The side parting lends the look a modern, fun edge and for those that want to doll this look up a little, a floral corsage perched at the side would be a really pretty touch.

Mad men actress Jessica Paré sported a similar look for the Emmy’s showing how versatile this elegant do can be.

Olivia Palermo can do no wrong at the minute. Between her insanely gorgeous new shoe line (oh if only we had a spare grand!), to her uber chic wedding look (she wore shorts and a jumper – amazing!!), she is one seriously stylish lady. Add the fact she wore a ponytail for her wedding to that list! Olivia shows just how you can rock something as simple as the ponytail we were pinned in to for years and make it look beautiful. There is nothing childish about this look, instead her shaggy pony is the epitome of laid back cool. Definitely a look worth toying with on the hair trial if you’re an alternative low fuss bridal style.

We adore this gorgeous, textured bridal look Chrissy Teigen opted for her wedding to John Legend. The elegant braided do is swept back from her face with lots of volume and movement and is topped off with a delicate veil trailing down her back.

Bridal braids have been big news in the wedding world over the past year so we weren’t surprised when we saw Millie Mackintosh’s take on them for her big day. We love her Princess Leia style twist – with the hint of flowers woven throughout softening the overall look. If you don’t like the idea of such a structured do, fear not there are plenty of ways to work plaits in to your bridal look including buns and simple loose twists. Another pretty idea for ladies sporting shorter locks for their wedding – we think this side parting and 40s style wave is just gorgeous on Modern Family’s Julie Bowen. This look can easily be translated for longer locks too!

The bridal world waited with baited breath over the last couple of weeks to see what Angelina wore to her wedding with Brad. And last week it was unveiled! Her classic Atelier Versace wedding gown was given a fun, modern and exceptionally personal twist with lots of fun drawings and doodles done by her six children lovingly embroidered in to the train and veil. Fitting for a couple that are all about family – we absolutely adore it. The hair didn’t get a look in with that veil but for those that are all about accessories, there are lots of fabulous way to dress up an elegant updo – Here’s some gorgeous veil ideas for brides looking to make a statement.
