It might be a bit difficult to get into the swing of summer with our current bout of weather but it is a’coming, and with the season of sun (stick with us here) comes the season of weddings! The shops are already filling up with brighter colours, pretty patterns, statement stripes and pops of primary and pastel colours in equal measure and we’re loving what’s coming through.
The statement stripe is a huge trend for the summer season, perfected by Gigi Hadid for Tommy Hilfiger (celebs are currently going crazy for their co-ords) and adopted and adapted by the high street. While this sporty look might not be ideal for a formal event like a wedding, there are plenty of ways to wear stripes in a chic way while still making a statement, and some of our fave options are below! Of course it wouldn’t be summer fashion without floral prints and there are some gorgeous options out for a more understated, romantic wedding guest look – wear with slicked back hair and minimal make-up and you’ll be bang on the button. The last trend piquing our interest for summer is clean and modern minimalism and chic, crisp and conservative tailoring. This look is a great option for those looking to don something ultra cool and slightly nonchalant, but wanting to feel ultra glam at the same time.
