Hollywood glam | Emma K Creative Styling
Soft, textured updo | The Beauty Agent
There is a style they are calling the ‘new’ French twist that is proving popular this year. It is a more relaxed, textured version of the classic French twist and it is perfect to add a veil to or style with a clip-in accessory. This style along with soft, textured updo’s I think will always be popular amongst brides-to-be who are looking for a classic look that will never fade.
For the bride who prefers her hair down, luxurious soft bridal waves are still proving popular, this year sees brides looking for the sides to be sleeked back, adding a diamante clip to one side to add that extra touch of glam. If you are not personally a fan of the sleeked back look, loosely pulling back the sides will give a softer more natural look and will still allow you to accessorize. If you are a fan of braids, it is possible to incorporate a braid in the fore mentioned styles, from waterfalls braids to fishtail crown braids to French braided sides there are many options for the braid fans.
I think sleeked back; waved ponytails will be popular for bridesmaids this year. They are simple yet
elegant and can be varied to suit each individual bridesmaid. From back hair crowns to encrusted crystal headbands the range of wedding accessories for 2020 is vast. But I think the must-have accessory this year is the bridal hair vine, it can be used in a variety of different ways which also means it can be used with a variety of different styles. It is also available in a range of different styles such as pearls and diamantes and in your typical sought after colours, gold, silver, rose gold.
Ponytails and hairpieces | Vow 2 Wow
The leading trend this year is for simple scaled back looks. We will continue to see a lot of down styles, ponytails, and sleek no-fuss buns. To counterbalance the simplicity of these hairstyles, hairpieces are set to be a huge feature this year. Specifically hairbands, cute little bows, and fresh flowers. I have been meeting my 2020 brides over the last few weeks and am absolutely loving the looks. We have mainly stepped away from ornate over-fussy hairstyles to keep things in sync with this season’s dresses. Timeless, simple and elegant. What should be noted here, is that the most suitable look for any bride is not a fad or a trend, but rather what she feels is most flattering and comfortable for her to wear. Whatever is worn with confidence is worn well!
Natural and tousled | The Powder Room Girls
Wedding hairstyles have become very natural in the last year. They tend to be tousled, loose, textured and very soft. Upstyles have become quite messy-looking, giving a very “I just threw it up myself” look (but actually a very talented wedding hairstylist took an hour to do it). The beach waves are totally in, either fully down or half up with a twist or thick plait across the back. And last but not least, the beautiful Hollywood waves are a definite favourite for the bride who wants to wear it down but look totally glamorous, usually pinning up one side and putting a vintage style comb in it.
Flowy and soft | Joanne Henderson
The great hairstyle currently trending is the amazing Boho. It’s so simple with flowy soft hair and so easy to manage.
