5 Ways to Work Your Love Story in to Your Wedding

Planning & Advice

Your wedding day is all about you guys as a couple. So we love the idea of adding in some cute touches to reflect this, and give guests a bit of a history lesson. Some of them may not know where you met or how the question was popped so it can be nice to give them a bit of an insight! We’ve rounded up 5 lovely ways to work your love story in to your wedding from snaps of your adventures together to tables named after important milestones…

A Love Story Sign

The Love Story sign is such a lovely addition to any wedding and the perfect way to share your history with guests. Include everything from the date you met to where you had your first date, your proposal deets and any other info that’s important to your story! It’s also a gorgeous keepsake for afterwards too – it would look great hanging on a wall at home or sitting on a shelf.

Details on Your Cake

If you’re looking to have some fun with your cake and go the personal route, why not include some cute relationship details on it. You could have little illustrations or have some important details hand scripted across the tiers!

Name your Tables after Significant Milestones

There’s lots of fun to be had with table names! One idea we love is including some fun facts or milestones from your journey as a couple. You could take places you’ve been to together and name your tables after them – use a pic from that country along with some facts or info to make it more fun! Another cute idea is to weave in relationships details like the number of the first apartment you shared together, the place you went on your first date or the number of days since you met.

Share Some Photos from Your Relationship

Photos are one of the easiest and best ways to include your relationship in your Big Day! Guests will love seeing photos of you guys over the years from birthday parties to where you holidayed and everything in between.

A Slideshow or Video Clip

Another lovely way to sum up your relationship history is with a slideshow of pics or a short video montage. You could have it playing as people make their way in to the reception room. Or you could set aside a time after dinner so everyone can watch.
