2. IGIGI Bridal Collection

IGIGI is all about accentuating and celebrating the female figure, not covering it up, and their collection of bridal gowns is a testament to their championing of women at their most sensual and stylish. IGIGI is for the confident, curvy, contemporary bride looking for something different – whether it’s a glamorous Gatsby-inspired sheath, a sumptuous Old-Hollywood silk gown, or a simple and sweet retro tea. We love the vivacious Eugina gown (above) which uses beaded tulle fabric and two-tone sequin embroidery cascading to its scalloped edge for maximum impact.  IGIGI wedding dresses are available online.

3. Kiyonna Bridal

Kiyonna is not the most recognised name when it comes to wedding dress designers, but if you’re a curvy, budget savvy bride, it’s a name you’ll definitely be coming across as you search for your perfect gown! Kiyonna is an online store, specialising in plus-size (on a side note, it carries the ever-popular Stop & Stare range we love!) with a small but sufficient collection of affordable wedding gowns. Short, city-wedding-style dresses are present, as are traditional floor-skimming lace gowns, all under $400!

4. Mori Lee Julietta Collection

Perhaps the most popular and well know collection of plus-size wedding gowns, the Mori Lee Julietta Collection features a huge selection of classic yet trendy wedding gowns which blend vintage style with quality fabrics and stay true to Mori Lee’s reputation for flattering, fashion-forward wedding dresses. Each gown is a testament to the design house’s knowledge of the female form, and are all at once elegant, luxurious and seriously flattering. Each gown in the range has a glamorous edge, achieved through stunning silhouettes such as the sumptuous mermaid-style, or embellishments like eye-catching crystal beaded belts. 5. Veromia Brides Sonsei Collection

Veromia’s Sonsei collection is possibly one of our favourite this year. The entire range focuses on contouring the feminine figure with corsetry, creating a beautiful silhouette and dresses with a real couture feeling. The collection never compromises on style however, as you can see from the above fit-and-flare (style #SON91351). Dresses are beautifully embellished with delicate beading, and flattering ruching. Beautiful lace straps provide support without being over-bearing, while full floor-skimming skirts balance out silhouettes perfectly. Veromia is stocked in Ruben Bridal in Kildare.

6. Benjamin Roberts Gorgeous with Curves Collection

We’re big fans of Benjamin Roberts, and their Gorgeous with Curves collection shows why! The curve collection combines the best of Benjamin Roberts’ labels, while maintaining a focus on flattering the figure. The collection uses figure enhancing features such as gentle draping, romantic ruching and perfectly placed motifs to create contemporary yet timeless gowns for a bride with an eye for style. These gowns are about enhancing the figure, rather than disguising it. Simple silhouettes allow for the prettiest embellishments such as vintage-inspired lace capped sleeves, fabulous floral motifs and pretty hand-beaded belts. 7. Allure Bridal ‘Women’ Collection

Allure Bridal is going from strength to strength, and its Allure Women range is yet another label from the design house which shows why the design house has become one of the most sought after labels in recent years. Timeless, luxurious and oh-so-stylish, this range for girls with curves brings together everything we love about Allure. In 2003, Allure announced ‘Allure Construction’ – a built-in corset that provides the signature fit and structure Allure is renowned for. It’s easy to feel confident and stylish in any one of the gowns from Allure’s Women collection, check out the complete range here – we’re sure you’ll agree with us!

Watters’ own 2015 collection is all sorts of amazing (see it in full here) and their WTOO label is nothing short of spectacular. You’ll be happy to hear then that WTOO Curve is everything these labels are and more – the dresses are created with a plus size figure in mind. WTOO’s Curve collection is for a bride looking for that distinctive designer feel, and includes an array of silhouettes – not just the safe (but sensational) A-line plus size ranges normally favour. These dresses speak for themselves – check out the full collection and prepare to drool.
