How did you meet and get engaged?

Through a mutual friend at Farmaphobia. Got engaged on a family holiday to Orlando and had photos at Disney Castle!

Describe your wedding:

Christmas wonderland with hints of Disney and Scottish flair! Every aspect was personal and significant to us from the hints of tartan to Disney cake and table names, to hidden signs on the brooches on my bouquet to the little touches that could be found throughout the day.

Tell us about your bridal look:

I found it so difficult to find THE dress but when I got there I just knew! My dress was elegant and simple with an edge and reflected me perfectly. I wore a tulle cape with cut out back so you could see the detail of my dress at the back. My make up was timeless without being overpowering and my hair was up in an elegant low bun with a hairpiece my Mum & I purchased in New York. My shoes are completely crystal, also purchased in New York. My bouquet was made by MOH Mum and was cream rose’s and brooches, elegant, classy with a touch of drama!

What did your bridesmaids wear?

My bridesmaid wore royal blue cap sleeve, lace top, fishtailed dresses with diamonte belts that complimented my dress perfectly! Coincidentally as these were purchased 1st!

I let both choose their own hair and make up to suit their own style. Their jewellery was purchased in New York and their shoes were silver strapped sandals with a little bit of sparkle.

What was your ceremony like?

One word, personal.
We could not have asked for more. From the music, every song had meaning, to the readings. We involved everyone close to us. My bridal party, including our son, my Mum and brother, walked down the aisle. Every member of our bridal party was involved in our ‘tying the knot’ ceremony. Our little boy Rian was centre stage and involved in the sand ceremony. We also loved acknowledging those no longer with us and using this candle in our unity candle process. Every part was thought through, and Michael did an exceptional job in having everyone relaxed and helping us achieve exactly what we wanted.

Tell us about your wedding venue:

Exceptional! They met every ask and went over and above with our little boy. We had family travelling from Scotland, England, Luxembourg, along with all over Ireland and they made sure it ran smoothly.
The reception suite suited our theme perfectly and helped with the winter wonderland and we loved how you are allocated a personal space for the drinks reception. Being a winter wedding we also loved how we had a choice of outdoor and indoor photo opportunities and it helps it is so beautifully decorated for Christmas! Food, drinks and service was everything we could have asked for.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?

All of it! From prepping to seeing my husband’s face at the bottom of the aisle. That feeling of overwhelming joy at being married and just enjoying each other and celebrating with everyone that means the world to us.

Have you got any advice for other couples?

Relax, and enjoy every second, it will all be worth it! Things may not be 100% the way you imagined, but that’s ok, no one will know…or care!
Take 5 minutes just the 2 of you and soak up the atmosphere. My one recommendation would be to get a video if you can, it’s incredible to relive time after time and see people and parts that you may have missed!
