Ciara and Lee got engaged in The Shard in London City on 31 January 2019. They were there for a birthday weekend for Ciara!

For their wedding theme, there was lots of Disney, blush pink/rose gold, with a touch of Halloween!

Lee wore a 3-piece navy suit, with a different waistcoat to the rest of the groomsmen. Ciara wore a princess ball-gown and pink Ted Baker shoes.

The groomsmen wore navy 3-piece suits and the bridesmaids and Mini-bridesmaids wore different styles of Maya Dresses in Rose Gold and Blush pink.

“We had a church ceremony. Lots of our family and friends who couldn’t attend the mass still drove to the church to watch us leave as husband and wife from their cars. Father Robert gave us great comfort and assistance in the lead up to the wedding and was very calming. There were even a few laughs during the mass, which filled the church with sound when only a few people could attend our wedding.”

“We had our reception at The Johnstown Estate. Tamara and the entire team in the Johnstown Estate could not have been any more helpful in the lead up to the wedding and on the actual night itself. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much to ask for. The food was unbelievable And I can’t wait to stay there again.”

Ronan HD Photography photographed the day from start to finish. I cannot say enough about Ronan. He is genuinely one of the nicest, most helpful people I have ever met and made planning our wedding during the most stressful of times easier. He was so friendly and put everyone at ease, I would book him again in a heartbeat.”

Hot Pixel Films were the videographers for the day! Ciara and Lee say that everyone was so relaxed with these guys because they were so friendly and subtle. Click here to see a snippet of the video.

Instead of wedding favours, they donated money to two charities – MS Society and St. John’s Ward in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. This was meaningful to them as Lee’s dad has MS and Ciara’s sister was treated for cancer 12 years ago in St. John’s Ward. They also had personalised bottle openers for everyone to bring home. Unfortunately they couldn’t book any entertainment due to Covid restrictions, but they played their own music and had a table quiz.

Their favourite memory from the day was just being able to forget about all the negatives 2020 had brought. And for one day, they could enjoy themselves with family and friends all around, even if some of them were there via zoom!

“Go for it no matter what restrictions are in place. We had 26 people at the wedding including ourselves and wouldn’t change it at all. Lee’s sister got Covid a week before the wedding, so she and his parents couldn’t come and my grandmother died the week before. We didn’t let anything ruin the day. It was a bit of sunshine after a terrible year.”
