“We had a fabulous winter wedding, not a drop of rain but a really crisp cold day. We chose black tie for the groomsmen and black velvet dresses for the bridesmaids. I kept our flowers with a white theme, gyp for the bridesmaids and flower girls, white roses and gyp for the bride and white cherry blossoms and arch for the church.”

Jen and Marc met at the Lawlor Hotel in Naas and then got engaged while on holiday in Ibiz with their 4 year old little girl, Heidi.
Jen says, “We were in a restaurant at the beach when Marc and Heidi “went out to look at fish”. The waiter called me outside to get a picture with “Marc, Heidi and the fish”. When I went outside, Heidi was wearing a T-shirt that said “Mammy will you be a Rowan like us?” and Marc was on one knee with the ring.”

They kept the look very classic with all black and silver. The groomsmen were in black tie, the bridesmaids were in black velvet with silver diamantés on the chest. Marc wore a burgundy velvet jacket to stand out from the gents. Jen and the flower girls wore ivory ball gowns.
They hosted a church ceremony with their local parish priest.
“Our songs were anything from The Corrs to Lady Gaga.”
The festivities were hosted at Hotel Kilkenny, here’s what they said about the venue:
“No matter what we wanted it was never a problem. They were so accommodating on every ground.”
Everything was beautifully captured by Peter Bell Photography and Film:
“They are a couple who supplied the video as well. You never know they were there. They captured everything personally that I wanted. I could not have asked for better on our big day. If you have not booked them – you need to!”
To entertain their guests, Jen and Marc arranged The Electrix as their band and DJ – they had the dance floor full all night! They also made a donation to a charity and put donation cards on the tables as favours.
Jen shares her favourite memory from the day:
“The drive from the church to Kilkenny when it was just myself and Marc. We got our pictures at the castle and it was so nice to have that time to ourselves.”
We love asking newlyweds for their best wedding day advice. This is what Jen had to say:
“Enjoy every moment and don’t stress.”
