How did you meet and get engaged?
We met 9 years ago in a night club in Letterkenny. I was busting a friend and Pauric is from Donegal.

Describe your wedding:
Our theme was black and white.

Tell us about your bridal look:
Hair and makeup were from Hayley and Craig, they are also great friends. I didn’t do trials or give instructions I just left it in their capable, amazing hands.

What did your bridesmaids wear?
I had 5 bridesmaids starting age 15 – 49 so I let each of them pick any dress they wanted and felt comfortable in, same with shoes.  I also gave them free choice with hair and makeup.
My flower girls wore dresses from Freckles.

What was your ceremony like?
Beautiful. We had a ceremony that was a mix of prayers, poems and music. We involved all our family and close friends. It was brought together by Rev Medbh a OneSpirit Minister, she is such a beautiful lady and was perfect for our day.

Tell us about your wedding venue:
Clontarf Castle is down the road from our home. We always loved it, it’s a magical venue. We didn’t look anywhere else.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?
Walking up the aisle.  This was very very special.  My daughter Caitriona walked in first to an instrumental of She by Elvis Costello, she then sang the song as we entered.  Pauric’s sister Aisling took our niece and nephew in, then my Mam brought our daughter Áine up, then my best friends 2 little girls.  After that my other 4 bridesmaid walked in one by one.  I felt so emotional to be surrounded by such wonderful women and Pauric was so emotional as each of the girls came in.  I was so proud and so happy walking down the aisle.  Every picture makes it clear to all, this was one of the happiest moments in our life as we joined together to make our promises.

Have you got any advice for other couples?
Don’t stress, everything comes together.  The most important thing is to enjoy every second of it. We loved our day from when we got up that morning at 8am until we went to bed the next morning at 5.30 am.
