Meet Caitriona and Chris. After crossing paths as teenagers in the Gaeltacht, they brought their love story full circle with a celebration packed with personality, subtle Disney nods, and plenty of warmth in Co. Offaly.

Caitriona and Chris first crossed paths as teenagers. "We met in the gaeltacht when we were 16," they share. "We were on again, off again for years and made our way back to each other in 2012."
Years later, Chris planned a proposal that honoured where it all began. "Chris and I spent the day back at our gaeltacht walking familiar routes for the morning," Caitriona recalls. They headed to The Twelve Hotel in Barna, where Chris slipped away from dinner under the guise of taking a phone call. Instead, he hurried upstairs to transform their room with candles, rose petals, and a collage of photos from their years together. Caitriona walked into their song playing, finding Chris down on one knee.

When it came to choosing their venue, the pair instantly clicked with Tullamore Court Hotel during an open evening. "We fell in love with the decor and the atmosphere when we first walked through the door," they explain. After visiting other venues where they felt like just another number, the team in Tullamore put them completely at ease. From early planning with Michelle to final preparations with their coordinator Rute, the couple felt genuinely supported at every turn, noting that the staff on the day were phenomenal and naturally warm.

Caitriona chose a white princess-style gown from Angelo Bridal featuring a corset, detachable cupped sleeves, and an elegant long train. She finished her look with white strappy heels from New Look, alongside jewellery and a headpiece from Rosie and Dott. Her hair was styled by Laura's Hair Studio Laois, with makeup by Katie Rabbette. Chris looked sharp in a three-piece suit from Eddie Murphy Menswear in Athlone, combining navy trousers and jacket with a beige waistcoat, custom initial cufflinks, and a pocket watch engraved with their wedding date. The groomsmen wore coordinating navy suits with beige waistcoats, while the bridesmaids wore floor-length powder blue gowns from JJ's House paired with Rosie and Dott accessories.

The ceremony took place at the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore, where Rev Tadhg Quinn set a warm and lighthearted tone. Caitriona walked down the aisle to the Disney song "Happily Ever After", accompanied by ceremony music from Kayla McDonagh and Mike. "Our ceremony was a church ceremony in the Church of Assumption Tullamore and it was beautiful and very funny with our priest fr Tadhg Quinn stealing the show," the couple say.

For the reception styling, the couple blended rich purple and blue tones with romantic accents. "Our wedding was perfection, Tullamore Court couldn't have done more if they tried," they share. "Our theme colours were blue and purple, with some subtle Disney aspects to bring across our personality, we had different Disney couples silhouettes as the table numbers and an unbelievable cake by Amazing Cakes, we choose stunning flowers by K Flowers in Tullamore." The tables featured wine bottle rose lanterns in alternating shades of purple and blue, and the celebrations later moved outside for sparklers in the evening.

Capturing the day fell to Ken Byrne Photography and videographer Keelan Byrne. "Ken, Aine and Keelan are phenomenal people," the couple say. "The epitome of professional while making you feel so at ease on the day, we had many chats with Ken and spent hours bouncing ideas around and he really captured exactly what we wanted, our photos look candid, natural and unique."

Kayla and the Experts took over for the evening entertainment, keeping guests glued to the dance floor with seamless medleys across genres. Looking back, Caitriona and Chris cherish the big milestone moments as well as the quiet ones. "Honestly seeing each other at the top of the aisle is the one that sticks out," they reflect. "That first moment where you see each other is magical. Another one, was when we got to go into the ball room ourselves before anyone else and just looked at how everything had come together, it was that quiet moment together that really hit home."

Their top piece of advice for couples in the middle of wedmin is simple: "Plan it together, savour every decision and choice, spend the whole day together at the wedding. Don't forget to enjoy it and take the time to bask in your day! It goes by so fast so just be present in the moment."
