Andrea and Patrick met serendipitously on a night out in Arklow. They got engaged the day they got the keys to their new home and subsequent wedding venue.
They planned their wedding in a little over two weeks and chose to get married in their home. They describe their Big Day as ‘elegant and yet homely’, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate!
Andrea’s wedding dress was from B Couture. The dress had hand-embroidered white feathers and sparkle. Her hair was styled by her friend Louise and her makeup was done by her neighbour Catherine.
“We had just 2 households attending so we couldn’t have a bridal party but we had 2 Wedding Fairies that worked behind the scenes to make it the most fabulous day ever.”
“Our Friend Maureen from ‘Weddings by Maureen’ celebrated and the ceremony was so personal and relaxed. She went above and beyond to make the ceremony perfect for us.”
“Our beautiful garden hosted the ceremony and Sue got great snaps of us under the Willow and Apple Trees during the rain showers! Our Caterer and Friend Chef Pauline Sharpe put on an incredible spread. We dined on a table my parents bought 41 years ago after they got married. The table hosted a spread at my Christening so it’s been a platform for lots of memories!”
When asked about her favourite memory from the Big Day, Andrea spoke about their mums’ readings. That said, they both loved every single moment of the day.
