How did you meet and get engaged?

We met while travelling in New Zealand, and got engaged 4 years later when we moved into our first home.

Describe your wedding:

We were married in a Castle, so we really ran with the ‘medieval’ theme. We used deep red and traditional roses.

Tell us about your bridal look:

I chose a more traditional wedding dress. It was long-sleaved and natural fit, lace from head to toe. My hair and make-up were very natural; not too different from how I wear it in everyday life.

What did your bridesmaids wear?

My two bridesmaids had matching deep red floor-length dresses, with updos.

What was your ceremony like?

The ceremony was incredibly emotional, yet casual.

Tell us about your wedding venue:

Kinnitty Castle was perfect. It was beautiful in every way; from the gardens outside, the reception hall and each of the rooms were like a fairytale.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?

My favourite memory from the day was the dance. The band we chose was absolutely phenomenal and had everyone on the dance floor for their entire performance. It was so much fun.

Have you got any advice for other couples?

Don’t listen to a single person’s advice for how to plan your wedding. It is your wedding, not anyone else’s.
