A Romantic and Intimate Wedding in Spain

“We wanted the finca to be the eyecatcher of the wedding so we opted for neutral tones, lots of white candles and a lot (a lot!) of lights in the trees. Flowers were all white and lots of green and eucalyptus, floating candles and flowers in the fountain. We wanted everything to be very romantic and intimate and it’s safe to say everything was beyond our expectations.”

Just look at this beautiful bridal look! We love the half-updo with curls, complementing the form-fitted Enzoani dress. And our fave is the dress in lace with an open back and train!

“My bridesmaids wore Young Couture by Barbara Schwarzer. They all wore the same outfit: a long skirt with a lace cropped top.”

Alien and Bart’s ceremony took place in a part of the finca’s garden near a fountain. They describe their ceremony as “funny, romantic and emotional at the same time”. That sounds fitting, as they had beautiful live music from the violinists and their best friends and family from Belgium surrounding them.

“Our wedding venue was a real Spanish finca on the countryside of Elche. The gardens are very big but feel very intimate because they are divided in different sections so we had our ceremony at the fountain, our cocktail in front of the finca and our dinner under the trees.”

They chose ‘Your Song’ by Ellie Goulding for their opening dance. This was a special moment for them as their guests began to sing along at the same time. Sounds like a real goosebumps moment.

Alien and Bart give their wedding planning advice for other couples: “Use a wedding planner! You’ll feel a lot more comfortable knowing there’s someone who speaks the language, has a lot of experience and lives in the area your wedding will be.”
