We met… at work in 2008 when we were living in Germany.
Our proposal… was completely unexpected! It was at the beach. Lukasz took the ring from inside a beautiful conch he pretended he had found at sea. It was really beautiful. Too bad Joana was freaking out for quite a while believing there was an animal inside!
The dress… was custom made. It was supposed to be more of a cocktail dress but it turned out like a beautiful wedding gown.
The suit… was bought in Beautiful Wife in Faro, Portugal.
The hair and make-up… Hair was by Jar Studios and make-up was by Rui Botto.
Our ceremony… was a civil ceremony with beautiful decor by My Fancy Wedding.
Our wedding theme/colours… White, pale pink and gold.
We chose our venue because… It was as beautiful as a fairy-tale palace. With a tight budget, the venue really did most of the job.
We chose our photographer because… we were advised by friends and couldn’t be happier with the result.
My favourite part of the wedding day… was seeing everyone having a great time, including the groom!
My piece of advice for other brides… Get a wedding coordinator!
