Lara-Jane and Conal met at a local pub. Then, one year they went to Galway Christmas Market for Lara-Jane’s birthday. While staying at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Conal proposed!

They opted for a rustic, country theme with antlers and flowers! They picked green and white flowers weaved through the antlers on the top table.

Lara-Jane wore a fitted ivory Ronald Joyce Wedding Gown with detachable train for the evening dinner. The dress was complemented by mauve coloured tulle base bridesmaid dresses. Conal wore a navy suit with tweed waistcoat and navy tie. He was complemented by groomsmen suits, with tweed ties to match his waistcoat.

“We had a church ceremony, with beautifully selected music played by Barry Hughes Wedding Singer.”

“Darver Castle had a fabulous autumnal theme for October throughout the venue which complemented the rustic country theme of the wedding perfectly.”

Laura & Benny are the ideal duo for giving equal attention to bride and groom from the morning in the houses to photographs with friends and family at the church and venue.”

For entertainment, they chose Clumsy Maggie, a two piece band who played at Darver Castle at the drinks reception. They had people up dancing even before dinner. Mad Ass Mules were the band after dinner, and they had the whole place up and dancing all night to satisfy the country music lovers as well waltzer and jivers.

Lara-Jane’s favourite memories from the big day are the music in the church, driving to the venue in Conal’s truck and the background music during dinner which kept a brilliant atmosphere.

“The music we felt was one of the most important elements of the day which really set the tone and atmosphere for everyone who attended.”
