Emma and Michael met in college and got engaged after 10 years of being together. Michael proposed on the building site of their new home!

Their original theme was pastel colours, but they chose to mix in some darker reds with blush pink to give a more wintery feel, after postponing their wedding from August to November.

Emma wore a Pronovias dress with pearl details, while Michael wore a midnight blue suit and checked waistcoat.

The groomsmen wore midnight blue and the bridesmaids wore blush pink full-length dresses.

“We got married in our local church with small numbers due to Covid. It was very personal and the local florist decorated the church beautifully.”

“We can’t praise the Avalon enough. The food, the decor and service were all amazing.”

“Our photographer, Stargaze Photography, was so relaxed and friendly. Just kinda fitted in with the chat and vibes of the bridal party. Arrived on time and knew his stuff.”

For their wedding favours, Michael and Emma had hand sanitisers for the guests and individually packed sweets and chocolates to suit Covid restrictions. They also had a DJ for a few hours!

Emma’s favourite memory from the day is finally getting up the aisle and the nerves disappearing.

“Just go with the flow and don’t stress over small things. We ended up planning 3 weddings with different dates and locations due to Covid. But in the end, small and simple was perfect.”
