Meet Lyndsey and Brendan! After meeting and falling in love in Zimbabwe the couple returned to Ireland and planned a simple wedding day that was special to them and full of meaning and cherished moments.

Lyndsey and Brendan met and fell in love in 2016 thanks to a mutual friend in Zimbabwe, Africa. Brendan chose a special day to propose, as explained by Lyndsey:
“We went for a Christmas Eve hike early to watch the sunrise. Brendan fumbled in his backpack and took out the ring and proposed!”
Their wedding day was special and simple, full of meaning and personal to Lyndsey and Brendan. Lyndsey chose a blue colour scheme and created the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets herself – didn’t she do a fabulous job!
“We chose to marry in August, the beginning of Autumn. We didn’t have a theme…just simplicity and meaning. We got married in a hay shed! It seemed very US. My bouquet was mainly blue – Cornflowers are our favourite flower.”
Lyndsey wore a simple but fitted and modern strapless dress with silk cape and birdcage veil, whilst Brendan wore a simple black suit with blue tie to match the floral arrangements. The bridesmaids wore pale blue dresses with one shoulder detail. Golden accents were added with shoes, headpieces and jewellery by Kind Jewels.
They were married in the hayshed at Mountainview. They chose this special venue as it is dog friendly and very accommodating to their ring bearer, the couples Collie, Lyra!
“The bridal entrance song is VERY special to us. It was chosen to remind us of Africa – and how it brought us together. We chose a Hans Zimmer song from the movie, True Romance.”
“Our photographer Iwona is very gifted. We call her a ninja with a camera! She was so amazing. She helped put all of us at ease. Can’t say enough good things.”

Brendan and I loved the ceremony! We felt it was so meaningful and sacred.
