“I pulled out my hastily-bought Argos place-holder ring and slipped it on her hand. It was too big for her.”
The couple: Conor McGreevy & Niloo Sarafan
Wedding location: Palmerstown House Estate, Kildare
Photographer: Massafelli Photography (Wanderley Massafelli)
We met… Conor is from Leitrim and I’m from Flensburg in Germany, we met through friends in London and started going out in 2011.
Our proposal… Conor proposed at the highest point of Val Thorens Ski Resort. “After what felt like a lifetime she agreed. I pulled out my hastily-bought Argos place-holder ring and slipped it on her hand. It was too big for her.”
My dress… My dress was from Mia Sposa in London.
Our ceremony… was held in Palmerstown House Estate. Palmerstown is an amazing place!
We chose our photographer because… Wanderley – Massafelli Photography – was absolutely superb. He was good humoured through what must be one of the most difficult jobs in the wedding industry. He went the extra mile and people still talk about him today – he made a big impression on everyone and did a fantastic job. He is an absolute gent, a great photographer and a pleasure to do business with…
My favourite part of the wedding day… A highlight of the day was, according to Conor, “Despite the mix of nationalities and ages, everybody gelled – and with the wine and the music, people who hadn’t known each other prior to the wedding were dancing arm-in-arm on the dance floor.”
My piece of advice for other brides… Have fun and enjoy your Big Day!
