Meet Celine and Donal, a gorgeous couple who tied the knot after a 13 year engagement. After many delays, their wedding plans came to life, in this elegant white and gold theme wedding.

Celine and Donal got engaged in Dubai in 2009! Sadly, Celine’s father passed away in 2010 and they just couldn’t face the thought of planning a wedding without having him be a part of it. One year passed and then another, and the next thing it was 2020, when they finally set a date. Covid hit and it delayed their plans further, until 2022 when their wedding plans became a reality.
They didn’t have a theme as such, but they wanted something simple and elegant. Their theme became a simple white and gold theme.
Celine wore an Organza and Gold Lace Applique Paloma Blanca white dress and Donal wore a dark grey Canali suit with a dark gold tie.
Their wedding party was made up of their mums who are both widows. They wore dresses from Brown Thomas, and Donal’s brother (their Best Man) who wore a Canali suit.
“We had a beautiful Humanist ceremony. Moya Corcoran was such a lovely warm lady who gave us so much help in putting our ceremony together. We would highly recommend it. It’s so much more personal and intimate.”
“We had our ceremony and wedding breakfast all in Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook. We had booked the whole venue out and dealt with Matt Butler who was simply fantastic. Our food was amazing, staff were all fantastic and the venue itself was exactly what we had hoped it would be for our special day! We both loved it, as did our guests.”

Utterly professional with a great eye and a bubbly personality to top it all off.”
To entertain their guests, they had opera singing waiters, which went down a treat with the guests. This set the mood for the wedding and created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Later, their DJ got everybody up on the dance floor!
“Our favorite memory was immediately after we were pronounced Man & Wife and we turned around and saw all our wonderful family and friends there clapping and simply being such a very special part of our day. It was the best feeling and one that meant the world to us both. Especially after they had all waited so long for us to ‘set a date’.”
“Everybody tells you to savour every moment as it all goes by so very quickly, and they’re right it does. So our advice is, try to relax on your wedding day and have some fun. Don’t take it all so seriously as at the end of the day, it’s about celebrating your love for one another with people who know and love you both. Don’t lose sight of what your wedding day is about. Try to take a moment together on the day where you can just take a look around at all the people who came to help you celebrate your special day and remember that moment.”
