“I really don’t like the look of cravats at all – do I have to wear one for my wedding?! My other half would like a traditional, formal look for the boys, but the thought of wearing silk cravat makes me so uncomfortable (or even a suit, for that matter!) Are there any ‘trendy’ alternatives that won’t make me look ‘scruffy’ (her words!)” – Ben

“Hi Ben, thank you for your question. You don’t have to go for a cravat at all. There is nothing wrong with a nice smart tie. I would steer away from skinny ties if you want to wear a formal waistcoat, as you will find it will be lost in your photos. Regards, The Bond Brothers Team.”

“We certainly don’t want you looking scruffy and yes there are lots of options.
In the word of the style guru himself Fashions fade but style remains immortal, you have lots of other options. You mention trendy alternatives, we would recommend you consider a slim tie, choose the fabric carefully and you can get a really sharp look that is both on trend and very tidy.
We frequently make ties and pocket squares for our wedding parties with cloths provided by the bride to ensure we get colour matching exact. If you’re having a pageboy we could make you a cool little bowtie just for him, but be careful he could steal the show!”
