Normally couples will receive their DVD with their images four to six weeks after their wedding. When they send their album selection back to the photographer they will normally get the Digital book designed within a month and once all the changes are made then it takes another four weeks to print. A traditional album takes four to six weeks after the selected album photos are sent back.

Hi Mary. When you have received your proof pictures from your photographer you can then begin the album selection process. Each photographer is different in how they design your album, some doing the design with no input from you while others rely on your input to design an album for you. Once you are happy with the proof album, it will then generally take about three to four weeks from order for it to be delivered to you.

There are a few things that need to happen before my wedding albums are ready to go out –

1. Post processing of the photographs. This can take from two to six weeks (depends how busy I am – summer will be busier than winter for example).
2. Proofs are sent to the bride and groom. They then need to choose which photos they would like in their album. I usually ask that this is done within three months, but if the bride and groom can get back to me more quickly that’s fine!
3. Once I have the picks, I design the album. This normally takes about two days, but again I ask for a couple of weeks during busy periods.
4. A soft copy of the album is sent to the bride and groom for approval / sign off.
5. Once approved, the soft copy is sent to the album company. They usually take between two weeks and a month to turn it around.
6. One thing of note – albums required by Christmas need to be approved by mid October at the very latest.
