Ballymagarvey Village invite wedding couples to attend an exclusive tree-planting ceremony in the new orchard. The ceremony symbolises the marriage of the past with the future.

Over 500 guests, including past and future wedding couples, visited the 18th century Ballymagarvey Village this weekend. The day began with a drinks reception in the main house, followed by a guided tour by owner Vincent Callan.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a barbeque and fresh paella in the central courtyard, surrounded by stunning oversized candelabras. The banqueting hall was transformed into a theatrical stage setting for Seana Davey & Co performing Solas an Ceoil, Light of the Music.

A spectacular fire show finale punctuated the evening, followed by wedding band Spinner and Digital DJs late into the night.

Future Friends

Owner Vincent Callan has exceptional knowledge of Ballymagarvey estate and its history over the past two hundred years.

He already lovingly restored the seven cottages around the central courtyard, and converted the mill loft and granary into an atmospheric civil ceremony room and banqueting hall. Now, Vincent has set his sights on rejuvenating the former 8-acre orchards on the estate.

Future friends of Ballymagarvey Village will now have the opportunity to be part of an annual tree-planting ceremony. Each tree will have an honorary plaque engraved with the name of the married couple. Over the next decade, Vincent intends to plant every species of apple and pear tree indigenous to Ireland as part of the restoration program.

Ballymagarvey Village is a five star venue for weddings and corporate events.
