I fully believe that getting inspiration from other couples is not only helpful, but kind of genius. Being able to see their plans come to life will help you to imagine your own wedding! Today we’re looking at wedding themes real couples have chosen. Our real weddings are packed with stunning colour palettes, seasonal flowers, drop dead gorgeous dresses and creative wedding themes. Some couples opt for a classic colour combination, while others draw inspiration from the look of their venue. Take a peek at these wedding themes real couples have chosen and be inspired!
A rustic, country theme
Lara-Jane and Conal tied the knot at Darver Castle in October 2021. For their wedding theme, they chose a rustic, country theme with antlers and flowers. They picked green and white flowers weaved through the antlers on their top table. Their wedding venue had a fabulous Autumnal theme which complemented their rustic theme perfectly! – See more

Relaxed and unfussy
Meet Lorna and Jenny! This beautiful couple wanted a relaxed and unfussy wedding with just their nearest and dearest. One of my favourite things about their wedding is how they were able to personalise everything! Because they had a smaller guest list, Lorna personally drew on each guest’s place setting. What a special touch! – See more

Sage green and blush pink
Kaitie and Pauric planned their wedding all the way from Canada, with the help of their amazing supplier team and our ‘HIGM – Help I’m Getting Married‘ Facebook group. Because they tied the knot in spring, they chose a gorgeous sage green and blush pink colour theme and a vintage feel to match the venue. – See more

Anything but traditional
Christina and Colin say their wedding was anything but traditional!
“We decided to go against the idea of having a bridal party. So the only colours we had to focus on were the bride and groom’s. As I’m sure you’re aware, The Village Barn speaks for itself. It’s a rustic, eclectic mix of decor where there’s something to catch your attention around every corner.” – See more

Old world new
Edel and Simon say their venue inspired their decor! “Upon visiting Tankardstown I was immediately struck by the gardens, I felt like we were in Italy. The theme became, old world new with elegance and chicness! I like simple themes and went for a white/ivory colour palette.” – See more

Jenny McCarthy
Berry and eucalyptus
This beautiful couple, Sinéad and Brendan planned their wedding throughout Covid. A proposal plan was postponed (but it still ended well), they had to cancel some not-so-Covid-friendly items, like their sweet cart, but they made the most of it. We love the “Share love, not germs” hand sanitiser bottles and the beautiful berry and eucalyptus theme they chose. – See more
