Bridesmaid Group Chat Names To Make You Giggle

You’ve asked your besties to be bridesmaids, now how do you keep in touch with all of them? Well, it’s never been easier to connect your bridal squad and fill them in on all your wedding plans and details. We’re huge fans of the bridesmaid group chat!

So, today we’re breaking it down for you! Whose responsibility is it to create a bridesmaid group chat? What should you name your chat? How do you initiate the first conversation in the chat? And what do you do if the bridesmaids don’t know each other?

Do you need a bridesmaid group chat?

This is a great place to start! If everyone is already busy and you’re already receiving tons of emails and messages every day, do you really need a bridesmaid group chat?

Well, it’s not a ‘must have’, but we certainly recommend it! The easiest way to communicate with everyone is to do it in a group chat. You can share updates, plan logistics and so much more.

Who should start the chat?

Well, every bridesmaid is connected to the bride, so it makes sense for the bride to start the chat (you’ve already got everyone’s number). Of course, it’s totally acceptable to ask your Maid of Honour to create the chat and invite everyone!

Once you’ve asked all your besties to be bridesmaids, you could kick off the group chat with a really quick and simple message like this one:

Hi friends! Welcome to my wedding party! I’m making this group so we can all stay connected.

What if the bridesmaids don’t all know each other?

If not everybody knows each other, how about including an ice breaker in your initial message? Something like this:

Hi friends! Welcome to my wedding party! Not everyone in this chat has met before, and I can’t wait to introduce you all in real life. In the meantime, I’d love it if you could each share your name so everyone has your contact. Thank you!
