We met… In a nightclub in my home town, we were both out with friends when our paths first crossed.
Our proposal… I’d expected Chris to propose for a while because of added pressure from our friends so much to the point, every time we went anywhere nice I was so anxious! He eventually proposed in our beautiful new house, our first house together, when I was least expecting it. It was a lovely surprise.
My dress… We were living in England at the time so it was from a bridal boutique called Ava Rose Hamilton in Lancashire, the designer is Justin Alexander Signature.
My hair and make-up… My hair was by a family friend Tanya Jordan and make-up was by Debbie McAuliffe of Makeup Masters in Clondalkin.
His suit… was by French Connection from Moss Bros in Chester.
What our bridal party wore… the dresses were designed by Rene K Couture in Lancashire England.
Our wedding theme/colours… Our wedding was a summer wedding so we went for pastel pinks and white, our florist and venue designer Frog Prince Weddings & Events were amazing!
Our ceremony… took place at Carton House. Our Celebrant was Gabrielle from A Beautiful Ceremony and Nikki Kavanagh was our wedding singer.
We chose our venue because… I fell in love with the grounds of Carton House as I drove up on the very first day. Nothing compared.
We chose our photographer because… We were recommended Memories Photography by Magda through our videographer Gerry at Limelight Wedding Films and as soon as we met her, we knew her eye for detail and laid back approach would result in the perfect pictures. We weren’t disappointed.
We chose our wedding coordinator because… I coordinated the wedding myself with help with the decor –Frog Prince Weddings & Events did everything from flowers to table cloths!
My favourite part of the wedding day… We hired Opera Singing Waiters and none of our guests had a clue, to see their faces as the act unfolded was priceless.
My piece of advice for other couples… Spend money on a good videographer and photographer so you can relive the day again and again.
