Sometimes, only straight-up honest advice will help when buying bridesmaid dresses. After years of hearing daunting stories from stressed-out brides, we have narrowed it down to these simple points.
So, your bridesmaid has announced that she’s expecting and you’re a little anxious about getting her a dress. Panic not, because we’ve tracked down some stylish and affordable options for her and her tiny plus one.
When we first imagined our magical wedding day, many of us saw ourselves in our dress, as carefree and as beautiful as a bride should be. One word we weren’t thinking of was ‘compromise’. However a lot of us are having to pull up our boot straps and tighten our corsets in an effort to make our cash stretch that bit further for the big day, and one of the things we are forced (kicking and screaming) to look at, is the dress. But worry not my stylish-if-a-little-frightened friends, you have PLENTY of choices to make when cutting the cost of your dress! From renting your bridal accessories, to hitting the high street, to finding out that charity shops actually stock BRAND NEW wedding dresses, you’re in for a stylish surprise. We were completely enchanted by Maggie and Neal’s super cool and laid back wedding this week (shot by Karina Finegan Photography), so much so that we’ve decided to do a little piece on how to steal their style. Their wedding, in case you missed it, was held in the stylish and exclusive setting of Bellinter House Hotel in Wicklow, where they treated guests to an intimate outdoor ceremony on the lawn, before heading to the bright and beautiful marquee for dinner and dancing. The couple’s almost Edwardian attire set the tone, while the bridesmaids created an informal and fun atmosphere in mix n match summer dresses. So if you’re looking for tips on how to pull off a romantic, relaxed, sunny and stylish big day this summer, read on!
Today we’re attempting to help a few brides who are feeling a little lost when it comes to gifts for their bridesmaids. Check out some of our ideas when it comes to bridesmaids’ gifts.
