So this year’s coming to a close pretty quickly… and it’s time for our traditional round-up of celebrity engagements 2015. They’ve sure been busy over the last 12 months! It’s proof they’re just like us in some ways – when they’re not buying entire islands or selling out The Globe Theatre in London, that is. Here are most notable happy couples 2015 – now all we want is to see the dresses!
Ronan Keating & Storm Uechtritz
The papers say he proposed twice on the same holiday! Aaaand for those of you who don’t know, the engagement happened in May and wedding bells already rang in August. We’ve got to say – that’s some fast planning there, Mrs Keating! Oh, and the engagement ring was pretty gorgeous too.

Rory McIlroy & Erica Stoll
This time, an American in Paris wasn’t Gene Kelly, but Erica Stoll – Rory’s girlfriend of one year. The media reports Rory chose Paris – the blueprint for all the romantic cities in the world – as the site of his proposal. As the engagement allegedly happened in December, the couple have certainly rounded off the year on a high note. And that diamond is almost as wide as her finger! Lucky girl.

Suzanne Jackson & Dylan O’Connor
How do you make a tropical holiday in December even better? You pop the question! It’s what Dylan did – and he sure planned for it beforehand, because the ring is bespoke. Just look at that stunner! The famous blogger Suzanne said: “He asked me to be his forever, and I said yes.” What else is left to say but – congratulations!

In true 2015 fashion, Eva didn’t have to rely on any publicist to carefully orchestrate the announcement – she just posted a photo on her Instagram and Twitter captioned: ‘Ummmm so this happened…’ and everyone knew! Another December engagement – and it’s not like they needed a little extra heat, because they were already in Dubai! And we love the red ruby surrounded by diamonds – it’s one of our favourite rings from all celebrity engagements 2015.

Lady Gaga & Taylor Kinney
Any groom-to-be who proposes on Valentine’s Day is very smart – it means he’ll never forget the engagement anniversary! So, Taylor Kinney, we salute you. And, even bigger kudos for picking such an incredible heart-shaped diamond ring that’s 10 karats in size, no less. On the opposite side of the band are tiny diamond letters T and S with a heart in the middle. For once, we’re speechless.

You’ll know her best from her role as Trudy Campbell, the wife of that no-good Pete, in Mad Men – and boy, didn’t she look amazing in those 60s-style frocks! This August proved to be the pivotal month in her three-year relationship with Dave Franco, an American actor who just happens to be James Franco’s younger brother. We’d like to see the guest list for this wedding!

Ok, so technically they got engaged in December 2014… but they kept it quiet for nearly nine months! The happy event was confirmed at last in September, so we’re including Liv in our list, because she’s so darn likeable! And, her hubby-to-be is allegedly best pals with David Beckham… so we guess there will be an invitation dropping into David’s mailbox sometime next year!

Summertime was partytime for the Australian rapper and her NBA player. If you believe the press, their ring dwarfed even Lady Gaga’s sparkler in size, clocking in at an estimated 10.3 carats. It featured an unusual yellow diamond set in white gold – Mr Young clearly has taste.
