Metallics have been growing in popularity over the years and the more traditional gold and silvers seen at weddings are being sidestepped for glamorous new metallics, bronze and copper. Less can be more when it comes to metallics so pick and choose where you want to work them in to your day. Copper works with a wealth of colours and is gorgeous when paired with simple white (use it as your base and add accents of this rich shade to really make a statement), pretty blush pink, natural foliage or with an elegant teal green to create an old-world feel (it looks fab with a minty green as well).
There are lots of ways to work this warm shade in to your day starting with your accessories – for the boys, think a copper tie or bow tie or if you’re after just a hint of this hue, wrap some ribbon or copper wire around your button hole. For the ladies, go full on glam and dress your maids in glittering copper gowns or skirts (get some inspiration here) or add a splash of colour with some statement copper shoes, a delicate belt, some chic hair accessories or pretty copper nails if you fancy an alternative to a French mani.
Copper wax seals and calligraphy will add an elegant feel to your stationery suite and set the tone nicely, and in terms of décor, we love these chic and simple wire copper table numbers. For a little sparkle, create a garland of copper triangles as a fun photo booth or top table backdrop and for the ultimate party piece, opt for a shimmering copper wedding cake like this showstopper below!
