I just love looking through wedding photos and engagement photos! An engagement photoshoot is a fabulous way of getting to know your wedding photographer and becoming more comfortable in front of the camera. Let's face it, how many of us could do with a little more practice in front of the camera? Another bonus is that you can use your engagement photos in your wedding stationery or display them in your home!
Here are some tips to make sure you get amazing engagement photos that you'll love:
- Wear something you feel great in! Choose colours you know you look good in and try to match your partner (you don't want to be twinning though!)).
- Identify your style and then pick a location to match! For cute and cosy, pick a lovely coffee shop or get your photos taken at home. If you're into a woodlands feel, go to your nearest forest. Maybe you want something a bit more elegant? Search for a stunning venue!
- Use fun props! There's nothing worse than that "what do I do with my hands?" feeling. Grab a prop of some kind so you've got something to do. Cook a meal together at home, hold a cup of coffee in a little cafe, read a book in a library, play your favourite board game or sport together, or stand under an umbrella.
