Internationally recognised as one of Latin America’s foremost designers, San Salvador born Francesca Miranda is now making waves in bridal wear. Based out of Columbia, Francesca began designing menswear in the late 90s and developed a cult following of sartorially smart gentlemen before expanding into womenswear in 2000. Since then she has garnered a huge following worldwide and dressed some of the world’s most sophisticated and chic actresses. Francesca cites her ballet dancer mother as her main influence, whom she believes inspired her to study the art of fashion in later life. Following in the footsteps of fashion trailblazers such as Oscar de la Renta, Angel Sanchez and Carolina Herrera, Francesca Miranda burst into the world of bridal design in 2010, bringing her own fearless take on feminine fashion to a whole new market.
Soft yet structured tailoring and intricate detailing are Francesca Miranda’s forte, and her keen eye for detail is displayed with elaborate lace overlays and complex lasercut finishes seen on many of the gowns in her bridal line. Silhouettes are given a daring edge with plunging necklines and deep and detailed backs. Francesca ensures that her creations are unique by developing her own fabrics, which are made to complement the character of each particular gown.
Tradition is maintained throughout the line but is given an explicit modern twist, which translates internationally to brides seeking an original, timeless wedding gown. Each gown bestows its wearer with a multitude of surprises with additions such as intense embroidery, delicate appliqué and painstakingly hand sewn embellishments.
