Meet Kaitlin and Matthew! These two got married in a gorgeous destination wedding in Italy. Thanks to their fabulous wedding planner, Claudia from Best Wedding Italy, they were able to host a modern and minimal wedding in a truly unique location.

The wedding planner, Claudia, from Best Wedding Italy describes the wedding is ‘modern and minimal’. We love the white and ivory elements mixed with glass and touches of black!
Claudia says, “We used long stem white roses in individual vases mixed with a lot of candles in glass cylinders, black and white stationary, laser cut name tag, big white chandelier lamps on the table to enhance the beauty of the modern venue.”
Kaitlin and Matthew added personal touches to their Big Day by creating their own invitations and laser cut name tag. The same style was incorporated into the rest of the wedding day stationery.
Claudia says, “They have worked with us on the selection of each element for the day including the musical program and the request to add some traditional Sicilian touches on the wedding day in general and on the dinner menu too.”
The weather was perfect. A bright sunny day, an amazing sunset during the cocktail time and a beautiful night with calm sea and a little breeze.
After a very classic violin entertainment during the Catholic ceremony, guests were surprised outside the church with a traditional folk trio (singer, guitar, accordion) who played Sicilian songs. The performance got both the couple and the guests involved in traditional dances in the main square of Taormina. Then the trio escorted the guests to the parking area where they took the transfers to the villa. At the villa there was a DJ for the whole party. Claudia and her team organised another surprise at the cake cutting: a fireworks show! This was a special gift from the bride to the groom.
Kaitlin says, “The most perfect day in every way. Thank you for all that you do, you are truly amazing for making the wedding of my dreams come true!!!”
Claudia says, “The most unique thing is the wedding venue. It’s not a wedding venue. It’s a modern villa usually rented for long stay. We have worked with the rental agency and the owner to have it not only for the stay of the couple but for the wedding day as it was the perfect fit for the couple’s wishes. We also planned the accommodation for all the guests and a beautiful welcome event on a rooftop terrace in Taormina with an unique view on the city and the sea at the sunset.”
