Meet Niamh and Jason! Married last summer today’s couple chose a unique wooden theme for their day at Ballykealey House.

Niamh and Jason met when they were younger at the surf shack in Curracloe.
‘Jason brought me for a drive and walk in Howth pier. Half way down the pier he proposed and would not let me take the ring as he was afraid I would drop it!’
The couple chose to marry in their local parish, with a unique rustic wooden theme.
‘We used elements of wagon wheel signs and a homemade wooden ladder showing past generational weddings. The colour theme was dusty rose and ivory. Most of our decorations were DIY and my mother in law made my flowers.’
Niamh wore an ivory floor length gown with mermaid style, off the shoulder sleeves and button detailing down the back. Her bridesmaids wore floaty dusty rose dresses with cap sleeves.
Jason wore a cream jacket and waistcoat with pink tie to co-ordinate with the bridesmaids, whilst his grooms party wore navy suits and pink ties.
‘Our ceremony was beautiful in my country church, we had chosen special songs and it was very memorable.
Ballykealey House is a beautiful big country house which was private for the wedding. They only cater for weddings which made it the perfect venue. We had a lovely walk way around the forest for our photos.’

Niamh and Jason added lots of personal touches to their day.
‘Our favours were shot glasses which read ‘take a shot were tying the knot’. We made our own photo frame which was homemade by Jason and his dad. The band and DJ kept the music flowing all night and the dance floor was never empty!’

My first look with my dad and brothers being the only girl in the house and the first dance.
