Shannon-Anne and Colm were introduced by a mutual friend. Nine years on after going Sale Agreed on their first home, Colm proposed during a camping trip in the middle of a small island on a lake!

‘Our wedding was a country manor theme in early autumn. The weather on the day was heavy rain showers in the morning which then cleared into a bright sunny day and allowed us to have the outdoor wedding we had hoped for. Flowers were country cottage flowers and we opted for a tiers of delicious cheese instead of a traditional cake. This was decorated with fresh flowers,’ explained Shannon-Anne.

Shannon-Anne wore a Charlie Brear outfit composed of an ivory slip with off-white lace overdress and sash. She accessorised with golden Ginko leaf design bridal earrings and Colm wore a green three piece suit. The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses and jumpsuits in shade of rust and vermillion, whilst the Groomsmen wore dark blue suits.

‘We chose Tankardstown House for its beautiful grounds, walled garden as an option for outdoor ceremony, its beautiful orangery for our dinner and as it is well known for the quality of its food. Our ceremony was a spiritual ceremony that incorporated a Chinese Tea ceremony as well as a Celtic handfasting. We chose poems instead of traditional readings and a harp for our ceremony music,’ added Shannon-Anne.

Our photographer:
We found our photographer Stefano Ferrier on WeddingsOnline and his photojurnalistic style was what we were looking for. He was a quiet and calm presence on the day!

The couple chose the Yankari Afrobeat Collective who are known for playing amazing upbeat music in different music venues and festivals in Ireland. They had everyone up dancing and singing by the end of the night!

Favourite memories
Colm: The ceremony is his favourite memory – it was quaint and very meaningful to us.
Shannon-Anne: The time we spent in walking through the grass in the beautiful sunset to get our photos during golden hour.
